Yea, bumper and winch are ~150lbs . Skids are aluminum ~70lbs. I don't know what the sliders weigh but they're steel. The truck is an access cab though, so that's something. I've got the 885's on order, I'll probably give them a try at least. I've got about a month before the install so I'll probably change my mind 6 times before then.

GONNA BUMP THIS THREAD im having a hard time debating between the 5100 series shocks with 885 springs or going OME, i dont want the ride to be too stiff i ride 75 miles a day and rarely go offorad except for a few trails and only during deer season. i want a good ride! better than stock and something that dosent feel like a wagon. 2022 trd offroad double cab long bed!

What else do you have on your truck? If it's just stock - no armor, bed rack, camper shell, winch, etc. and all you care about is some lift and good ride on road then I'd get the 5100's w/ 885's, maybe an add-a-leaf in back.

I went OME, complete package. If you do the light duty setup, it will be a nice soft ride. I went medium duty, and it's about perfect for me, although I like a tighter suspension.

I’ve got 90021s I believe and 885 coils and it’s a great ride. Have toytec 3/4in (I think) top plate spacers up front and have aluminum front bumper weighs 60lbs. Tear bumper is steel 85lbs. Got Dakar full leaf packs. Whole setup rides amazing. Running 285/75/16s. Rear doesn’t even squat when I tow my 6k boat a few miles to the ramp. Before adding Dakars I did a yard of loam bed of truck and it was doing the Carolina squat lmao . Not anymore I he Dakars are sturdy af

Sorry, I think that medium duty terminology came from the vendor, not from OME. I have 2888 springs, and 90000 front struts with 60091 in the rear. And the EL111R leaf packs.

thanks for the information guys im really leaning towards the OME stuff vs the bisltein for the simple fact of ahving a twin tube design vs a mono tube that typically rides stiffer from what ive read

Hey all, bumping this thread, I've seen many refer to the standard "OME clunk". Something to do with the shock internal valving? I discovered a clunk in the rear suspension when I push down on the rear bumper, or bounce on the rear bumper, of my 1st Gen. I think it's the shock, the sound appears to come from one of them, but don't know what this OME clunk is exactly...

I’ve had a bad brand new ome rear shock that clunked. It was on the passenger rear. I switched it to the driver side rear and that side clunked. It was replaced under warranty.

For folks with similar setup in the future - The firmer valved shocks with the 886 springs were way too stiff on this setup. Maybe if I had a full plate bumper. The access cab seems to be exceptionally light up front. I was afraid I was going to kill my wheel bearings, ball joints, etc. Also the EL112R pack sagged on me within about a year. It sat ooook with around 600lbs of static weight in the back, but began to sag noticeably with any more. I ended up upgrading the whole setup - Dobinsons MRRs with the 354 spring. It's still firm, but not as bad as the OME, and the adjustability means I can soften it up a little bit on trail. I could even sacrifice a little lift to reduce the pre-load, which I may do. In the back I went with Archive's Heavy Duty setup and they have been fantastic. Maintaining a great lift and arch with 600+lbs of static weight. No concerns about loading it up.
