From what I've gathered 883's will be stiff without armor weighing down the front end.

Personally I went with 882's they are taller but dont have the spring rate of 883's

I've been preparing for the lift and built a front bumper, sliders and rear bumper. In hopes my armor will weigh down the truck so my cv's won't experience a dramatic angle.

Just ordered my OME set up with full Dakar leaf pack, light racing uca's and all the other goodies

Ah, yes a bit. Mine is a 3.4 DC 4x4, which would be why I went with the 883s. With a standard cab prerunner, maybe the 881s would be sufficient for you.

So I should wait for the lift and get my bumpers first? Or can I can add all that after I get the lift?

@SteLo4x2Taco Completely up to you, I noticed a common problem was cv angles around a 3 inch lift. So to try and solve that I choose to add armor first.

Like stated earlier my lift is on it's way, also ordering 285/75/16's. so in the next few weeks I can update the thread show show the change with my cv angles

I have the 882 with 5100 Bilsteins up front with the Dakar rear leaf's. It's a bit stiff but nothing that would bother one to much. I just added the differential drop to help with the angle on the CV axles. Hope to add more weight up front soon...

3" Toytec spacers, Bilstein 5100s in the back with add a leaf and overloads removed.
I'm pretty sure it sits as high, if not higher than the 3" spacers I had before. But I did do the 10mm spacer just in case

I ordered the rest of my lift, so now I have

    882's
    Front and rear nitrochargers
    Dakar leafs
    OME shackles
    All Bushing kits
    BPV bracket
    Exhaust relocator
    Trim pack
    Light racing uca's
    U bolts

    Problem:

My order didn't come with a rear brake line extension... I looked up the components of the usual OME kit and those also don't come with brake line extensions

Im also installing f5's and 285/75/16's

Question is should I order or not

Edit: did some research and and I'm going to purchase the ss extended brakeline.

My Dakars Creak like nobodies business. Generally when I brake and then accelerate from a stop.
Is this just how they are?

Curious about this myself, as I'm about to buy the OME dakar pack to go with my 881s up front and new shocks (not sure on OME nitros or bilsteins yet).

X2. I did get the greasable shackles in back tho. Also the fronts too but didn't get around to doing those as the originals had to be pressed out and didnt feel like doing it at the time. But I havent noticed any squeaking/creaking.

Squeaky Dakars are common. Someone on this forum pried the leaves apart and layer in some flat rubber for padding. OME changed their design to include the padding and prevent it in newer leaf packs

Have someone selling deaver 1.5" leaf spring setup and looking for a quick answer. Would this level out a 2.5" king coilover setup? If not... how much higher or lower would the deaver setup be?

Id get out the tape measure and check, find the height difference and see how that will compare with the lift added. If the rear is lower you can always add a leaf or get longer shackles

if it doesn't level out just stack you lift with spacers and blocks like a tower till its level. :anonymous:
