I had the info written down when I did my shock relocation but I can't find where I put it. Kurt @ Cruiser Outfitters will definitely know, that's where I got the specs.

I called Cruiser, Kurt is away for a few wks, but the guy 'Bryce' was real helpful; measured the D6XL aal for me (52" long, 23" from leading edge to centering pin) but didn't have the specs on the #60062 shock so gave me the # for ARB

    #60062 specs:
    Extended - 587mm = 23.1"
    Collapsed - 357mm = 14.05"

So not sure what shocks I'l need yet haha but here's the info, maybe it will help others!

    Subject: 2004 Tacoma Lift

Good Afternoon,I have a 2004 Tacoma TRD and was inquiring about an OME Suspension lift.I would like to get around 3" total lift. My end goal is to be able to run 255/85/16 BFG KM2's. I am somewhat familiar with the components, but still am unsure of what to get for my truck. I have been told about the886 coils or shocks? I also know that my leaf springs are shot and need to be replaced. I don't think I would need anything more than a 6 or 8 pack back there. If someone could possibly send me an itemized list of the necessary components I would greatly appreciate it.
    Sincerely,
    Casey

Hi Casey,We offer the OME suspension for your Tacoma. For the 04 the max height is about 2.5" in front safely. The suspension kit runs $1140 plus installation regardless of which front springs you require. With the stock front bumper we recommend the 881 front coils. The 886 coils would never be used on an 04 Tacoma. The 255/85/16 tires can be used but are a tight fit. They will require trimming and possible some relocating of the rear axle.
    Thanks,

    Hi Ben,
Thanks for the reply. If I was to add an ARB bumper in the front(in the future), would I need to get the 882's now, or just wait until the installation of the bumper? I have read on different Off Road/ Overland forums that a 2.5" or 3" lift would clear the 255/85/16's. I value your experience and trust your judgement more than an online forum, b/c you guys are the ones installing the lift. I will plan to make an appointment in the fall to have work done on the truck.
    Sincerely,
    Casey

    Hi Casey,
You can't run the "heavy" front springs without the weight as the vehicle will be over lifted and cannot be aligned properly. How well 255's fit depends greatly on the wheel/tire combination. Trimming will be required and may still rub in extreme conditions.

FYI, I used 882s with the stock bumper for several months. I had no problems getting aligned to spec. Maybe I just got lucky but I never had problems.

Same as the others. 883's but on a 4cyl regular cab. Now I did install the lr UCAS, so I didn't expect alignment issues but I am adding a plate bumper, winch, sliders, and already have skids. The ride is OK, but I know it will be fine after I add the weight.

Is that the length for the AAL he gave you ?

Those numbers can't be right, if adding to the existing leafs that would put the leaf ends over the factory spring clamps & past the bushing wrap (hanger end)

Yeah I have the AAL in the back but I desperately need new leaf springs. Waiting to put the new front bumper and winch on before I decide which ones to buy.

yea thats the measurement he gave for the D6XL.. it seemed awefully long to me too. I was trying to determine if I could use the D6XL w/ my Wheelers 5pack, but I decided to just go with the wheelers AAL

Complete OME suspension with 883s is going on my truck over the next couple of days. I'll post before/after pics when it's done. Next up will be front and rear bumpers.

Before and after pics respectively of the complete OME suspension. With the way it sits right now, I want to throw on an AAL to the dakars but I'll wait to see how she sits with the front and rear bumpers when I put them on. The ride quality is 1,000 times better than the 11 year old stock suspension, and I'm sure the added weight will make the 883s ride even better. Best money I've spent on this truck yet!

I think I'm sold on 32x11.5s for my next tire.

Really wish they made 32x10.5s though :(
