    3'' toytec lift springs wrapped around 5100's. Deck plate mod. TRD seat belt pads. JL audio amps /subs and Alpine speakers. Diff breather mod. Working on a custom rear bumper
    your leafs don't look very happy :( I would go for the Dakkars if it was my choice.

    Nice mate, how do you like the dakar's in the rear? do you think 'ill need slightly larger shackles in the back for a 1" rake how level would you say it would be with the 881, nitro's and the 10mm lift enhancer?

    wow, that's a big difference!

    why did you go with the 880 and not the 881? I have 881s that I have yet to install on my xtra cab v6. But I noticed many double cab owners also went for the 881s, even when they have brush guards. I hope the 881s wont be too stiff and unpleasant.

    3" fabtech fox front, 2.5" DAKAR/Bilstein 5100 rear

    I just got the Dakar leafs with 2.25 inches of lift. I also got Bilstein 5100's. If I were you I would get the Dakar leafs AND a add a leaf. Currently I have ~250 pounds of salt in my bed for weight and my leafs are hardly arching. I also have a camper with a rack too but personally I wish they could hold more weight. So im getting a aal soon.

    Hm..I've put 1.5 yds of mulch in the ben and the leafs hardly sagged at all.

    882s.

    Thanks. I don't have any lift shackles...just NWOR greasables. I like the lift amount (~2.5").

    He has a pre runner. And the push bar isn't very big, the 882s might be a bit much?

    The only reason to get the AAL in the first place is if you consistenly are carrying a load that would require the extra capacity not provided by the standard leaf pack. If you're just after extra lift, there are other ways to achieve that. But if you do actually have a load on the truck frequently then the AAL makes sense and it will still flex well since the truck will likely be loaded when wheeling. If the truck is empty then flex probably won't improve with the AAL.

    Bottom line on the dakars is if you need the extra capacity, get the AAL. If you just want more lift, don't use the AAL and run longer shackles, or use different springs altogether.

    This truck is running a full OME suspension with a few mods, like an extra 10mm trim packer in the front, and the OME AAL in the rear. Truck is owned by Kurt Williams, owner of Cruiser Outfitters (best source for ARB/OME products IMO). His truck works awesome and I would say flexes quite well with the AAL. You must remember that this suspension isn't designed as a super flexy rockcrawler suspension. The OME suspension is designed in Australia for trucks that venture into the bush for hundreds or thousands of miles of corrugated and rutted roads. The OME stuff can still rockcrawl but if you're after a ramp queen you need to look elsewhere for suspension.

    This is one of the only pics I have of Kurts truck, but I'm showing it because its a good example of constant load requiring the AAL. The truck has dual batteries, ARB bullbar, winch, hot water shower, supercharger, full Budbuilt skids, sliders, rear bumper, roofrack, bedrack with tent mounted fulltime. And when it hits the trails there is a full load of camping gear and tools etc. It's a pretty heavy truck, but Kurt has tried a variety of different suspensions and came back to the OME stuff as his suspension of choice. Seeing it firsthand I must say it does work quite well for how he uses it. Lots of overland miles and he probably camps more in a month than I do in two years.

    this last pic shows a good difference. Gold truck is mine with essentially the exact same suspension minus the AAL. My truck is carrying far less weight overall but you can see the Dakars just aren't handling the load as well as they are on the red truck with the AAL.

    just to be sure the ome 882's are the medium load springs correct?
