Yeah I'd be in on a group buy for the right price.

Doubt it will happen, demand > supply, meaning they will probably not offer discounts.

So these BP-51 Coil-Overs are designed to handle any weight possibility's. They can be set up for light loads or heavy loads. We probably won't see an extended version anytime soon if not ever. ARB is very conservative. They make Parts to Work and Last. They are also conservative when offering certain ride heights. This kit is claimed to be a 2" Lift. Most the time Old Man Emu runs 1/4" - 1/2" taller than claimed. Also this is a Coil over so you can turn the adjuster to increase ride height. ARB stop by before and after Cruise Moab with a Brand New 2016 Tacoma with this kit on it and it looked more like a 3" lift.

Had these been out a year ago when I spoke to ARB at the expo, I would have bought these. However, now I run KING. They sounded really nice at the time. Dont know what stayed and what changed.dw

So when going with this kit is it recommended to upgrade the control arms as well? Nessery? Is it possible to stay with less then a 2" lift?

    Total newb here.

I absolutely love my kings with TC uppers. They don't have the internal bypass like the OMEs do. However, when I talked to micha at DSM, he swayed me to KINGs. Proper calving and Spring rate set, an internal bypass won't not see any use/ notice any difference. I'm not sorry I went with the KINGs.

I have no experience with the new OMEs as they're brand new

Blame Toyota for giving you 1" factory lift, not ARB that only offer 2" lift. There is a reason to why no one offered 4" coil lift for 2nd gen tacomas.

I bolted them in a went. They felt really stiff to me at first. However, coming from stock, blowout with 150k on them, the change was drastic for me. Now I really like them. Im sure I'll like them more with a tad more weight in the truck, but I'm running dakars in the rear with both overloads. My father in law drove the truck about two weeks ago and really liked them. So, I am not planning a re-valve anytime soon, but after a few more mods and 50-70k worth of miles, i might.

TECH QUESTION: I see the compression and rebound adjustments of the BP-51 in the photo...but do those adjust the response of a profile on either end that is linear, progressive, or digressive?

Just installed this kit on mine!
I ended up with about 2 3/4" over stock. So far this is the first suspension that has exceeded my expectations! I have run icon, King, fox, bilstien and the old ome stuff over the years and never had
A suspension I was happy with.
This kit seams to have a better on road ride than stock and the offroad performance is impressive.
We will see how they hold up over time but arb products are built to last so I don't see there being any issue. image.jpgimage.jpgimage.jpg

From the looks of the pic you can keep the stock UCAs?

    Yes,
Arb says it was designed to be used with factory uppers.

So it seems this isn't a great fit for a 2nd gen unless it settles a bit. If nothing else peeps will need to definitely invest in some UCAs

Looks like a bit much for my blacktop driving, mallcrawling ass. Does it ride better on the highway than stock? :)
