How about a thread talking about all of the old school cool 4x4s... Or 6x6s!

I think the FJ40 really started my interest in Toyota and off-roading... These things are classics!!! I'd love to own one some day. I actually seriously contemplated one after my First Gen was totaled 2 months ago... Than my rational side came out and I opted for a 2015 Tacoma. But I'll own an FJ40 one day!

Another 4x4 that I thought was always pretty cool, the late 60's Broncos... Before they got all big and fiberglassy... This one is ONLY 32 grand! But they are pretty badass! Probably my 2nd choice if the FJ40 never happens!

So what about yall??? What old school 4x4 or 6x6 would you love to own? Willy? Unimog? Pinzgauers? Volvos? Power wagons? Defenders?

    Post some pics!!!

I want one badly. I see some around here pop up with swapped GM 350s in them. I don't want a GM 350, I want an original IH 345 or 392.

    I also love these:

I found one with a 345 going for $3000 nearby last summer. It was in workable condition (ran, drove, passed inspection, and no significant rust issues). Still wish I went for it.

That's a steal! I paid 5000 because that's what my uncle paid for it in 72 from the factory

My buddy in HS had a big Orange Scout... He used to rag that thing out all the time! Finally killed it by playing chicken with a brick wall! He was ok, but the Scout not so much. Nice ride you've got there!!!

And check out this beast of a power wagon...

Tacoma is stock and staying that way, Pickup is TBA as of now.
I have a '72 Bronco myself, awesome rigs! They walk all over Jeeps I can tell you that from personal experience. They have all the things Jeeps lack, a beefy V8 engine, way tougher frame and axles just to name a few. I also have a '78 Bronco as well which are great too, they were the toughest year Broncos from 78-79 when they had the Dana 44 up front standard and packed with 351 or a 400 M engine and C6 automatic transmission, they were unbeatable in their day. In 1980, they started putting the quirky TT I-beam front ends in em that just weren't as tough as the old solid axles.

    And here's the '78.

Dude, if you ever want to part with that thing hit me up! I've had a hardon for those original WWII Jeeps for a long time. They are damn hard to find.

I've been thinking of selling it. Its been sitting in that pole barn for 12yrs now, however we got it running in the fall, all it took was a set of plugs, wires and a condenser!
