A few, mainly added skids. I like leaving the suspension alone. I drive forest service dirt roafs in the desert west extremely extremely too fast. Toyota nailed this suspension going 65 across desert terrain. Changing it is dumb unless you have a specific need like crawling or mud.

Start small end big... that little mower and my 10 year old have driven every single paid landscaping business out of a two block parameter. I fucked up and said he could have a dirt bike when he could afford one. He now has 4,325.00 dollars in a safe.... I hate dirt bikes, Im not a motorcycle dad. I know him, it will kill him.

I’m not either and my stepdad got my 14 year old a dirt bike. First time out over the handle bars he went. The riding gear now keeps them pretty safe. It won’t save from every injury but the accident looked horrible and he got right up and kept riding. Was sore the next day but was otherwise fine. Moral of the story, I’d say he’s gotta get all the gear, good boots, chest and back protector even the pants with armor in them can help.

The trick is to start him out one that isn’t too fast. All the gear in the world can’t stop a broken clavicle when he endos it on a double. I rode early on an XT200 around 11 years old when my brother and I had to stand on the horse trough to climb on and off and was slamming hills with a CR500 in my 20’s. I still smashed my femur at 30 so they ain’t safe but you can train him with weak stuff and not get him a YZ80 right out the gate. A slower bike is more fun anyways. He can learn wheelies and small jumps with something weaker and older with worn rings. Whatever you choose, and if he’s got the bug, give him something that runs and he’ll ride the hell outta it and video games suck

I've done OME in the past on my 91 pickup but if your SAS'd, hydro assist is a good stabilizer.

I think I've got OME in every old Toyota 4X4 I own. Kind of the default replacement for an old stabilizer.

I know, but ive never ran OME anything just Bilistein and fox, not to he picky bit OME is so damn yellow but I want something thats not KYB or some autozone special, if that makes sense. My 95 4runner is currently running fox shocks and Would love to have a fox stabilizer but I just cant find anything that would fit or get my hands on one to see if I can find one will fit.

    Edit pic of fox shock

buy a Bilstein, strip the label off and it would just be silver. or grab a fox sticker from and old box and slap it on

The T100 totally counts. Those are sweet and really hard to find in good shape. If it’s got the 3.4L and 4wd, buy it.

It was a dark and stormy night. Inconsistent slush, Ice, and snow. What better night to use the truck with no traction control.

I ran 235/75r15 Michelin LTX tires for seven years. I used to run 31s before that, but went with a smaller size to gain some more power on the highway and to have a smoother ride. I started to miss the look of a larger tire so I had a set of 31x10.50r15 BF Goodrich KO2s installed. So far I've been impressed with the KO2s. I didn't loose much highway performance and they ride similar to the Michelin's they replaced.
