I'm with this guy. Don't sell it you will hate yourself. Sell the Tacoma instead. You will get more for it and you will never find another 85 that clean....what a truck!!

Thanks guys, the reason I bought the double cab in the first place was to have a family 4x4 to go to the snow in etc so selling the tacoma can't be an option for me especially cause the 85' has bucket seats and will only hold one more person.

I wanted to add its not like I'm ass broke but my family and I would be a lot better off if I did sell the rig.

    Thanks

    Brett

I have an 86 4Runner that is almost as good as condition as yours. Hate you tell you, even if you do decide to sell it you wont get much for it. 6k is what I think its worth, and I say that without meaning offense because I think you own a gorgeous gem. The most id pay for your truck is 4k, because at the end of the day its still an mid 80s massly reproduced toyota with (compared to other vehicles for that price range) hardly any amenities or luxuries.

I am currently in the same dilema except I have no help. My advice is what others have said. Sell the taco. You have a clean, sexy, classic Toyota. 10 years from now it will be damn near hard to find especially in that condition. Tacomas will still be around.

I agree, in between 4 and 5 k would be my number. Not much but just a little bit of cash to help out, I know what's its worth for sure and I wouldn't be a bank breaker. No offence taken.
I just sometime wonder if I should sell it for peanuts, but in the end every time it's priceless to me and one day they just won't be around anymore, a collector item. I think there will be hardly any around in another 28 years.

    Thanks guys,

    Brett

You should definitely try and save it. It'll probably still be good for your son to drive when he's old enough. That's what happened with my parent's 92. My mom upgraded to a tacoma in 2007 but we saved the pickup and now I have it and I love it dearly.

Get another. That's the fun, you can use a 25 year old heap and still be competitive.

true that. I think I had better times than a few AWD subarus. Probably because I drove that car to the absolute limit (on the rev limiter a lot )

I'm selling off my current projects to hopefully buy another hoon-mobile.

I love rwd for rallyx. Where's the fun/ challenge of having awd traction? Its especially lulzy in the snow/ice. And, it has real world bad weather application as well, which is a plus.
