That's just a dual case setup with 4.7's and doesn't answer wether you are doing triple cases. Are you going to have triple cases with 4.7 in the rear case? That's some crazy crawling.

Yep I'm going triple cases with 4.7 in the rear. It will be 2.28x2.28x4.70. I'll be new to the whole crawling thing but stoked to build this truck

Why are going with triple cases? Just curious. 5.29 diffs and duals w/ 4.7 is plenty for me, on 37" tires.

On the right coast triple cases would be useless. However on the west coast in a dry high traction environment it can be useful.

Triple cases are a novelty and not needed especially if you are "new to the crawling game"

Dual ultimate cases (2.28 and 4.7), stock duals or even a single 4.7 case is more than adequate for 99 percent of the wheeling available in the states.

    Its your $$$$$ though

That's what a lot of people tell me that's it over kill, i went crawling with a friend of mine and he has triple cases same gears. He let me drive it and I honestly just fell in love with that set up. You're right I could go with the dual ultimate with a stock gears of 2.28 and 4.7 in the back and then upgrade later if I wanted be lower.

Triple cases seem excessive to me also. I'm locked f and r with 1 case at 4.7 and 529s. Plenty slow in the rocks. I would mind going to duals. But trips would be insane!

Although I hardly drive it anymore, and am under constant harassment to sell it, this is still my favorite Toyota 4x4 of all time (my FJ40 is a close 2nd).
