What are some good suspension replacements for the 1989-1994 pickups? Not looking for lift, just to replace worn out stockers.

Will 1st gen Tacoma suspension fit in these trucks? Or is it a no-go?

Thanks for the kind words, it’s still for sale. Currently talking to a fellow in South Africa for this one. Took me two weeks just to convince him that I wasn’t going to hit him with a Nigerian prince or fake bank check scam. Says he’s looking into everything that he needs to do to allow export to me.

It might mount but the stroke will be off and you will bottom out the shock most likely cause it's too long. You have to measure your trucks collapsed length and extended length first.

I was in the same boat. I wanted to get something that would be equivalent to getting new UCA and extended coil over for a bit more travel on by 90's but no lock for off the shelf. At least not that I know of. Anyone else know something similar to what I was aiming for ?

then detailed, i lost a wheel to the fire so I ran a spare for about a week.20170820_183839.jpg
and then took it to a abandoned golf course during a rainy night. Ran into a couple of other people who had the same idea.

I spotted this decent First Gen RAV4 while walking my boss's dog this morning...

These First Gen RAV4s seem to be rapidly disappearing from Anerican roads!

I first laid eyes on the then-new RAV4 in 1996, when my dad was looking at new T4Rs. I thought it was one of the coolest vehicles I'd ever seen and wanted my dad to buy one!

Don't mean to clog up this thread but figured I'd ask here instead of making a new thread. Been thinking about getting a late 80's early 90's pickup. 2wd single cab and manual. Intention is to lower it and make it a daily. Mostly just for fun. :D

I know the 22re is solid, but is there any reliability differences if it's carbed vs fuel injected? I'd be inclined to think that FI is the way to go, but don't want to walk away from a good deal if being carbed is just as good. Also wondering if there is a preferred year to look for. I've noticed too that these seem to fetch a high price much like the Tacomas and wondered if that should be expected. I'm pretty much in the dark on the older Toyota trucks so any info other than a Wikipedia page is appreciated. Or if anyone can point me to a good online source I'd be oh so grateful. Just trying to learn as much as I can before I dive into one of these totally clueless.

Good afternoon all. Posting for a friend. This is more to try and get an idea of how much $$$ he should ask for in selling his '89 Yota. It's 5spd 4cyl 2wd w/ about 180K miles on the new engine. This thing is in amazing condition for being as old as it is. It's not modified in any way as far as suspension or engine goes. It's pretty much fully stock so it'd make a great project vehicle for someone.

Anyway, can you guys throw some price ideas my way? Thanks!

Right. But I think some were carbed and some had fuel injection, correct? There’s one local to me with 60k original miles and it’s got a carb. Guy wants $7k though. Think it’s an 88
