Nothing more simple to work on than a 22R. De-smogged w/ Weber that is. No sensors, no computer. Just ignition, timing and fuel. Only difference between 22re and 22r for me is mpg. I get 18 vs the 20 my 22re got. That's only because mine is tuned and a hybrid.

Traded the 2015 TRD Pro 6spd Supercharged on a PowerWagon and could not be happier. My 2011 Tacoma with the TX Baja package (Added by me) is still treating me great. My 1985 Toyota never skips a beat.
Just depends on the context. Depending on which way you ju

22r is easier to keep running for decades with no new parts, easier to stall, flood, etc but more likely to restart and keep on going

22re is easier to keep running offroad, starts better, slightly better economy IMO but more likely to break and not run

    How about 22r with propane?

LP is better for wheeling when compared to gas except for refill convenience and MPGs.

Pane runs better than either, a hair less power but cleaner and cooler.

Less efficient, and a bitch to find vs gas but propane is a great idea.

I would prefer pane over either offroad, but definately gas for the street.

Also, the dual fuel kits are not for me. To get the most out of pane you need to run more timing or boost than you can run with the gas.

My girlfriend and I went to the Spring Swap Meet and Car Show at Raceway Park, and we saw a few old school Toyotas both in the spectator parking area and the actual show! First, I'll start everybody off with this nice 1994 pickup, which is quite similar to the '91 I learned the art of the third pedal in...

Less than a decade and you'll be able to register that beauty as an antique in some states!
