    Hey guys. I just got me a project truck. I need to find out what year it is? I think it's between a 90 to 94. It has toyota in the grill.. It's got a 3.0. Extra cab 4x4. 5 speed man. The motor is toast. He said it had a knock in the bottom end but was running when it was parked 7 years ago. The paint is crap and motor is too but other than that . No rust and good body and everything else is good. I need to find out what year it is so when I start getting parts I can get the right stuff. Can anyone help ?

    3.slow is the same for all years as far as I know. Check the door. Searching the vin should show you what year it is.

    No vin. Tag has been removed. No title either . I'm hopeing that someone will tell me there is a vin on the motor or somewhere else? This truck was bought from a buddy deal gone wrong a long time ago and it looks like they took the vin tags off. So I'm hopeful there are other identifiers that will tell me what year it is?

    Try either the driver or passenger frame in the front wheel well. I forget what side mine was on.

    On the frame there should be a chassis #. It's not the vin and probably less than 17 numbers. Then enter it here;

    Hey guys. Well finally got to work on my project truck today. 91 4x4 with 3.0. Anyway , I think I have a bad fuel pump. The truck had been sitting for 7 years so I pulled the drain plug on the tank and drained the coke looking gas out and ran gas through the tank to clean it out. Change fuel filter. But when I tried to start the truck I don't think it was getting fuel. I put about 5 gallons in it so it should have enough to pick up. But I took the banjo bolt off the fuel rail and cranked it over and no gas came out. I even took the back fuel line off at the filter and cranked it and still no gas came out. So I'm thinking bad fuel pump? These things are pressurized and shouldn't the fuel pump come on when you turn the key? I ran out of time but I did check the 15amp fuse under the hood and it was good. So I'm thinking pump. So any of you guys with the 3.0 have any ideas or thoughts? This l
    One is quiet different than my 3.4 so any of you that have the 3.0 please tell me about all of the things to check for regarding the fuel system on these. Any experienced information is appreciated!!!

    Wouldn't you hear the fuel pump when you turn the key on? I normally do in my other truck. Sometimes it's hard to hear over the buzzer in the cab but most of the time I can stand out of the passenger side and turn the key and hear the buzz of the fuel pump. No what I mean?

    Plus like I said, I unhooked the back fuel line from the filter. But keep em coming, I'm sure there's something I haven't thought of.

    My rigs. The FJ62 is new to me this summer. Interior refurb in process. Exterior repair and paint is next. Thankfully is is rust free and spent the majority of her life in the Napa Valley.
