Me either. I even had a 1978 wolverine, before getting the first 79 4x4 pickup to arrive at the dealer here. We trashed that truck in the northern quebec bush when barely 2 weeks old.

Is there a good Toyota pickup forum that is still fairly active? I’ve stumbled into a few that have been mostly dead for years. I’ve been thinking of building an ~88-90s crawler eventually, and hope to get involved with a club / community.

honestly this forum is probably it

YotaTech and Pirate4x4 have a bunch of info but the majority of it is 20+ years old and the forum itself.is dead.

I am confused at your confusion. I am asking for a pre Tacoma centric forum. Like pirate 4x4 but not dead. Lol.

There's an irate4x4 (100pct less P) reboot where the Toyota forum is still active though it's a handful of members

There also ih8mud which is somewhat active. The lense there is that OEM is the best and nothing but. There are a lot of purists who will pay $70/qt for OEM new old stock fluid before they'd buy Lucas or Valvoline.
