I'd almost bet money at some point they'll do those. They are riding the nostalgia trail HARD over there at SCS.

 

What is your grail deck and why? I’ll start. Zorlac Devilfish. I was living in Dallas when the Devilfish came out. It caused an uproar with the Bible thumpers. I remember churches buying as many as they could and destroying them.

 

The”Face”re-issue is the only one i’ve recognized being available over the last 5 plus yr’s along with the “Bart Simpson”designs.This particular model is available in this color scheme/choice now.The first 3 Roskopp’s were my favorites.

Interesting who or how determinations of re-issue’s are decided upon.There are a lot of pro rider board designed/manufactured graphics that don’t get re-issue’d.Although the blow up of re-issues are available strong now.

 

They reissued the Target 1. Don’t know about the rest.

 

That’s a great share of info right there and personally had no idea of.Me personally is a tough choice on what would be my ultimate grail.When i was kid i had to earn the funds through my parents in order to make the choices i did for decks and complete set ups.Unfortunately at times what i desired sold out or the availability was rare.

 

That one is available now through a U.K.website and only in green color scheme.For the price of the deck and shipping i’ll pass and don’t prefer the color.Also leaves you with the curiosity if it’s legit or not.

 

90s had some sick decks for sure. I always like the Blind spoofs and the Jason Lee decks. Guy is a ripper.

 

That's funny you mention that because I was going to post that of that era, the one deck that I REALLY regret focusing and throwing away was the Blind Jason Lee Burger King deck that's worth a lot now-a-days because shortly after it was released, Burger King issued a Cease & Desist.



I still can't believe I intentionally broke it...

The other grails, I compromised on and went with the reissues because the originals were so expensive.

Matt Hensley H-STREET Vista sign and the Natas Kitten deck. Would still be cool to have originals but I really am not even looking at all.

I have tried to find my first "real" skateboard, just for shits and giggles. VISION team deck "Lobster Fantail" in blue and pink. I had to borrow a pair of indys with Bones wheels from a buddy to set it up.
The two boards before that were a POS Kmart Variflex and even more generic "Sport Fun Missile".



To me the grails aren't necessarily the most popular or expensive things, just the ones that mean the most to you personally.

 

When I started collecting (mid-late 90s) you could find Blind decks for cheap. I picked a few up and used them later on as trade bait. Big mistake. I now just focus on Texas made Zorlacs.

 

Have you guys heard of the Church of @ODNAREM?

I remember back in the days having a membership to”Pipeline Skatepark”Upland CA.where i learned to skate pools and different variations of vert.The board i had was from the store”Kmart”(LOL!)with some biohazard graphic that i swapped out with Indy trucks and Powell wheels.It was like the yr 1982 and was quite the treat for my dad to drive me there.

There was quite a few times when there that i’d get caught up watching the “Alba” brothers(Micke,Steve)shred it up.This is actually a pic from Pipeline.I thought this brother combo was so sick at that time frame.Interesting though i never purchased one of their boards/decks.

 

Steve is in a band with my friend. Powerflex5. We should go see them.

 

My buddy had that “Lobster Fantail”and didn’t care for it so he purposely flipped it over on a curb and snapped it in half with his feet.He was so spoiled that he pretty much had a new deck or a complete every month.

That’s hilarious that you mentioned the “Kmart”boards because i mentioned those in my previous post.The boards were light and solid but whatever trucks and wheels that came on them made them tanks.LOL!
