Found a great deal on Craigslist for barely used Blizzaks mounted on steelies for a late model Camry. Seller says they have about 90% tread and have been stored inside when not used during winter. Says the manufactured date on tires is 2008. So basically 9 year old tires. Would you guys trust tires almost 10 years old. Kind of leary buying them. Best part...$200.

Sounds like a terrible deal. Those are some old ass tires. better for trash pile than on the road.

10 year old tires is pushing it. If you are tight on money and need tires now go for it. However ~$400 will get you new blizzaks.

Nope. The rubber is too hardened to have the grip you'd want.

Winter tires almost fall in the class of 'performance', in that they are a soft compound. Which means they are really good for about 2 years, ok for about 4 years, slightly better than all seasons for about another year, and pretty worthless after that.

The above assumes proper care, as the seller has indicated they've had too.
