old truck, low miles: maintence and things to watch?

    You should also check the tire manufacture date. Old tires can "dry out" and weaken even though they have a lot of tread. There is a way to read the code on the tire for the date, but I suspect it would be easier to get the info from a tire store.

    thanks for all the help guys. Yep belts look good they were recently switched out. I'll check out the hoses soon. Tires... I got some k02s recently! Yeah I think the dealers and my Mechanic would've caught something by now. All the dealer said is change the rear diff fluid, which I still need to do. When I install My lift next week I'll check the drums and other stuff down there. This thread has been super helpful thanks guys

    tomorrow is new suspension day! Going to get a closer look at some other components while im down there and make sure everything looks good

    check underneath for any major rust issues and this area on both sides for leaves and crap...
