Older cap on a Gen 3??

Will a cap meant for a Gen 2 short bed fit on a Gen 3 short bed?? I think it was from a 2010 but mine is a 16………

 

Interested in this myself.... I have been told "no" due to the cab shape and new bed design, but that was from the guys who sell new caps !

I was in the same position. I had a new shell on my 2014. The truck got smashed, but the shell was perfect.

It didn't fit on my new 2017; the bed is taller and it has the curvy tail gate.

 

Yep, true for the long bed as well. The cap I bought for my 2G was being sold as the previous owner had it on his 2G and wouldn't fit his 3G ACLB.

 

I have a 6' Gen2 Luna Mist (Century) cap for sale if anyone is interested asking $400 (FL)
