Older Guy Drives a Dream

    I'm 60 years old, but just bought my first truck and first Toyota: 06 Access Taco 4x4 Silver i4 standard with only! 105,000 miles. She's a beauty.

    I've mostly been a Subie Outback guy and have also owned a Pathfinder and an Audi. But my work at home on the Cape often takes me into deep into the woods in out of the way places. And my favorite places near my other home in northern Newfoundland are even more rugged and more remote. One of those favorite Newfie places is a remote Ecological Preserve in the heart of the Strait of Belle Isle. Because there was a nearby town, the twenty mile gravel road was regularly graded in the summer and plowed in the winter. Three years ago the town, which only had three occupied houses, voted itself out of existence. The road is now rapidly declining and when I am out there with my Subie, I get nervous. No more!

    Even though its got lots of miles, mostly highway obviously, I just love getting in the saddle of this truck. In less than a week, I have poked into some really remote and rugged places in, of all places, eastern Mass., and needed to go into 4wheel drive repeatedly. I love my new to me Taco!
