    Sick!

At first I thought it wasn't real because of how the board flipped but then I watched it 20 times and realized he used his crutch... That's badass!

So I was randomly doing a google image search for "Lappers" (research purposes) and came across these from Skeleton Key MFG (Darren Navarette's co.):

About time someone finally recognized officially that those things look like they were flipping me off!

On a side note, who in their right mind would actually set up a deck with "new" lappers on it? I mean, besides to be ironic, that is?

(EDIT: skeletonkeymfg.com also has copers... Can't believe someone would pay to have molds made for any of those!)

Well, they weren’t called “The Bird” for nothing.

Honestly it's been sooooo long since I've even seen lappers in person that I totally forgot they were called the bird!

I met a dude a few years ago with a tattoo of a lapper... that was awesome! I've seriously considered stealing that idea. Nobody else would get it but it's not like we get tats for other *people, right?

*ex-wife's name that I got covered up recently, notwithstanding

But you still had fun, right? :D

KONA is legendary. Always wanted to skate that. Never taken my board further east than Minnesota and Avon, MN wasn't really that exciting to skate (years ago for older sister's wedding in August... SO HUMID, OMG)

OSP used to be my jam. Loved that place. And Kona is fantastic. I spent hours on the snake run just doing lap after lap. If you are in the Orlando area, the Oviedo skate park has a really fun bowl and pool.

I still try to roll around the streets here and ther when I can. Got a good buddy that always tries to get me to go. Mostly manual pads, curbs and ditches. I'll keep going until my graham cracker hips break!

I try not to...I have enough problems already....and I am at a age where I do preventative maintenance to the body. Going to a dermatologist next month to check for skin cancer...not my first cancer scare either.

Thank you....had a mouth cancer scare a couple months back. My dentist noticed some unusual stuff on my hard pallet (turned out o.k.). The skin cancer thing, is related to me working/playing in the sun my whole life. We will see...better to catch it early though...if I have anything at all.

So I'm going to branch out and do some skateboarding related velcro backed patches.

Not sure if anyone is interested in that or not...? I have the first design already done (actually cobbled it together for something I did years ago) so if you want to see it... you know... :D

Fine. Just don't share this is all I ask... :p

Also thinking of doing just the "Slamms" logo but instead of trees, make simplified broken yellow skateboards.

    Thoughts?

Skate or die! I transitioned to surfing as its a bit easier on my bones. I grew up in San Fran during the 90’s n would hang at FTC skate shop n see mike carroll n all the plan b guys. Loved skating and was die hard for 12 years. I visit the hospital less with the surfboard but miss those days, and yes my shins resemble a saw blade. Thank you 360 flips

To be completely transparent, anyone who's been skating in the last 20 years has probably heard of SCUM skates who did a graphic of the Hamms bear that was holding a six pack and they called it "beer run" or something to that effect.

I'm willing to go out on a limb and say that there are enough people that have drank Hamms and skateboard who will get this and that in the great tradition of skateboarding graphics, *nothing is original.

    *Jim Philips, notwithstanding

I know that *I* want this made into a patch but if others are down then that will make the investment into production easier to justify.
