    I thought before i got there it was a flat bottomed bowl.You could gain more speed/momentum.It had a slight downward drop to where if the pool was designed with more length to it you could gain momentum back up.So yes i’d drop in to only be able to grind the coping and not continue a flow.

    Oh i skated it for a couple hrs and dropped in from different angles.Also a lot of patchy areas that weren’t cemented in correctly.Was a bummer but still fun!

    Not into stickers anymore after losing interest smothering my garage work cabinet back in the days :laugh:but if @pat’s taco @orezona were to produce a potential small batch :boink: i’d slap one on my board and cabinet.I’ve already been ready to purchase the patch.:D

    I haven't been on a board since the mid '90's. But recently I've seen quite a few people on electric ones around town and I'm kinda itching to pick one up. I think I'd like riding it to work down the 101 sometimes (about 14 miles).

    There’s a guy around my area that i frequently see zipping around on one.I’m personally not interested in one but i’d like to eventually talk to the guy and asked him about what particular one he has.Seems like he’s moving pretty fast when i see him.LOL!

    howd i just find this thread :D who still long boards? i recently lost mine aka got stolen and am in the market for a new one. any recommendations?
    you talking about boosted boards? they are pretty cool actually. not that i want an electric board but i could definitely see a use for them in a busy small city or around campus. if you follow casey neistat on youtube he does a really good review on them since he uses them as his main source of transportation in NY

    Yea, I stopped one guy a couple of weeks ago on the street with one and he recommended the boosted brand. That's all I really know about them so far, but I need to do some research first.

    first and foremost they are pricey so just a heads up lol. that's about all i know of them besides them are electric. i like the kick movement to move.

    Interesting fact about that half ... when I moved we cut it up and sold it to brothers who donated it to our new skatepark. It was the first ramp there. The park added a couple feet to it and covered it with sheet metal. It ended up attracting a bunch of BMX riders like Dave Mirra ... home to over 20 gold medals ... and the city was dubbed Pro Town USA. You can see the half in some of the grainy footage in this documentary preview.

    You have to roll into it from the shallow to get any real momentum and it’s a task just to that... the only real spot to do that from is against the wall outside of the little entry way. It’s not really much room and there’s that huge crack to deal with. Bottom line is piss poor design, and construction techniques. This is one the first parks in So Cal to pop up and they built them like shit back then. El Dorado in Long Beach, same shit, even worse actually... We’ve come a long way since then!
