I got a Vewdo balance board that I’ve been playing with in the office at lunch and it’s making me want to skate again at 40 years old lol

 

It arrived today in the mail!To think that i pre ordered it back in April for a November delivery.Wow the month’s have flown bye but i’m surely stoked!

 

I loved that board.... never owned one though. It was going to be my next one when I was a kid. When I got to the shop... I ended up going with a different deck. I can't remember what it was, been searching for a pic of it since this thread popped up.

 

In 1984 when Santa Cruz released the target 1 i had to have it as i clearly remember.My parents had me do numerous chores to earn the funds to purchase it.From what i’m remembering the board was a aqua blue color and the arm was pink.The target area was similar to the reissue without the color pink.I believe i have pictures of the original somewhere.I know i used the old trucks i had for the time being from a Kmart store complete until i was able to get Independents.I had pink Powell Peralta Rat Bones wheels that were given to me brand new from a neighbor of mine who lived on my street.

In Atlanta Georgia this weekend for a Veterans Memorial Event but stopped into “Stratosphere Skateboards” yesterday(Friday)to meet Thomas Taylor(30+yr’s).

Check out season 9 of “Jeff Grosso’s Loveletters To Skateboarding”ATL(Atlanta)episode for more history of Thomas Taylor and the ATL scene.Grant Taylor is his son who is a professional skateboarder and is sponsored by VOLCOM.

 

Spent some time earlier this evening(Friday)with Jim Gray and John Lucero.

And if anyone in SoCal is interested in the”Allen Losi Benfit Show” at “Alex’s Bar”(Long Beach,CA.)tomorrow night i’ll be there.Music’s going to go off!

 

Damn would love to see The Faction. Gotta work instead.

For those of you who know of Mike Vallely i set up one of his”STREET PLANT SKATEBOARDS”(Long Beach,Ca.).

Collaboration “Bruce Lee” series with Bruce’s actual daughter Shannon and artwork by Greg Higgins.

I chose the mini cruiser fun shape for my lady who’s Asian and loves Bruce and who doesn’t.I set the complete up for her but i’ll be riding it as well,hehe!
