Yeah probably true. The Powell factory and HQ shop is a couple miles from me, I'll check what reissues they do have.

Is the top of your dough boy stained black? Or gripped? Or the same teal stain? If it is stained black it is much rarer.

Yeah thanks. I searched 'doughboy' as I didn't know what it is called. That probably is a keeper. Wish my old mtn. bike parts had any modern use lol.

I have skated with Lance too. I was one of 3 guys that build a huge half pipe (each one was larger) in NorCal, we used to have contests there. 14' tall, 24' wide, 18' feet flat bottom, 4' vert, and a 4' roll in. Masonite and 2" dia. steel coping, was in perfect shape. I also had a Guerrero deck for a while. It was a good ramp shape.

It's the same blue stain. I put grip tape on it back in the day, a pretty stock application. Too bad old trashed surfboards aren't collectors items ;)

6A9D86DE-614C-423C-AEDE-53394AAA0C86.jpg The thing about dough boys, family crests etc was they were right at the edge of when skate shapes changed. Tons went unsold because the modern popsicle shape was becoming popular. Think “Toe-knee-hawk”

This is the top of that doughboy. It was just floating around the garage and I never tried to keep it from getting scratched. Below is another Lance Mtn deck, that was a great ramp shape especially for its day.

That looks a lot like my current newschool deck, an Alan Petersen with plastic on the bottom for sliding action. I just realized that is probably considered an old board too now lol.

Is that bottom board the “Firm” company that Lance had?

That bottom board was still Powell but definitely becoming more of a 'Mullen' shape.

My God... They haven't changed their site since I first discovered them in the early 00's...

Which looks like a website from the mid 90s.

(They definitely jacked their prices up... I got some NOS Rat Bones from them for like $36/set!)

But at least there's still a source for lappers. Whew!

I am not certain they are still around. I bought a few Alvas back in 02-03. If they had something I would like I would give them a try again.
