what have you been looking for? you've seen my daily driver, nice concave, it's not a popsicle, but it also doesn't have cadillac fins either lol

 

And high def cameras pretty much everywhere and cell phones. In actuality, its probably for the best but I do miss the days when the people governed themselves a bit more.

 

Well said, it is definitely a different world now. I feel really lucky to have grown up before the age of cellphones where your reality was what you made it, mostly by going places and doing things. As kids I think we had a lot more fun than is possible now. Plus growing up with tech and watching say Gopher and BBS’s evolve into the modern WWW helps put perspective on just how much modern tech affects culture. On a positive note, cameras do help maintain accountability irrespective of background or position.

yea, growing up without tech definitely makes for a much more well rounded person I think, we can actually talk about life experiences instead of snapchat and FB lol

 

I notice the oldschool boards ilke from the 80's seem a little flatter, and more curvy and therefore heavier,, but I like them better than every same old popsicle out there

 

Ya they do I really want a shorter board to cruise and carve but I'm thinking I want a normal stick again to fuck around with.

 

Shaped decks are pretty popular nowadays. A lot of people ride shapes beyond the typical popsicle. You can get a cool shaped board similar to the old school ones but with modern concaves, short to long wheelbase, whatever you want really. I skate everything from street spots to pools, and I never ride a popsicle shape. It might be a little harder to flip a 9 or 10 inch board with big loose trucks and big wheels, but it feels pretty cool when you do.

 

yea the board I ride mostly is a blend of new and old, 10x30, with more concave and curved nose, I like it, to me it's best of both without extra wood. I still ride my other boards but that's my fav

 

Totally. I have setups to ride to the liquor store, and setups to ride when I really wanna skate lol. On this day I rode my regular board to the liquor store.
