    @Digiratus
Hey man, I’m gearing uo to buy ADS coilovers with the click compression(waiting for MCM to send me the invoice). Was wondering how you are liking yours? Has it made a big difference wheeling? What do you keep the clicker at and do you change it often?

So far I like the performance a lot. Be aware, the resi hose is a bit exposed.

The compression adjusters do give a lot more control but they also create the situation where the tire can rub on the hose. After install, I could see that the tire came close, but it wasn't until the first wheeling trip that the tire actually go into the hose.

    _MG_9993.jpg

I have since changed a some things that should help with this, but I won't know for sure until the next adventure coming up in a couple of weeks.

The comp adjusters give you 20 increments with two full revolutions of the knob and go from no adjustment to maximum compression dampening. I started at zero and the ride on the highway was really plush. Maybe a little too soft and just a bit floaty. I put about a quarter turn into it and it was better on the highway, no more floaty feeling. But then offroad it was not stiff enough, especially when the speeds were up. So I added another quarter turn and it was better and didn't compromise the highway ride. I've since added more dampening, now at 3/4 turn. This amounts to a little less than half of the total adjustment that is available.

I came from Kings with 700# coils and the difference is huge. So much better. It is much easier to go fast because I have so much more control. Maybe too fast because I keep knocking out the front wheel alignment from hitting stuff because of the speed with.

Awesome response! Thank you! I was wondering if I would be finding myself getting out to make adjustments to the clickers as I transition from highway to dirt. Finding a medium between both would be nice. I also like the idea that I can change it up some on the fly if I’m changing my style of driving if I see the need.

I’m currently on Icons with a 700lb spring. I think it will be radically better. At least that’s what I keep telling myself to justify buying them. I don’t have much good to say about my current setup.

That is kinda the way I came to feel about my Kings too.

I am curious about your current wheel/tire combo. What is the back spacing of the wheels? Are you running wheel spacers too? What size tire?

Few goodies showed up while I was away on my trip.
New battery holder from @Coupe. Installed it real quick since it would be fast and not add more stuff to my bench top haha

Also, I need to pull the grill back off and add some more adhesive as it’s flopping on the sides and some dried and then broke apart. Kind of annoying. I’ll take pictures when I do it.

Added a table to my swing out today, had some ups and downs during the install. Tapping holes can be exhausting lol I bought it from 4xinnovation because I couldn’t beat the price!

Didn’t take any pictures, but I pulled the grill off, and added some zip ties. Definitely not going anywhere now. Was going to add more glue but didn’t want to wait for it to cure.

Well my ads coilovers came in and so did the rear Bilstein 5125s. Stoked. the rear Bilstein are more of a bandaid but I’m not ready to drop a ton of money on the rear end so I figured for $200 they will hold me over until I relocate and pair the ads.

ADS coilovers and Bilstein 5125 rear shocks were both installed today. Very excited. Have the coilovers on 6 clicks on the click comp and gave it a quick test drive, felt pretty damn good! I can already tell how much better these are going to be over the Icons. 3E1EA6A2-57C7-49D5-BE0D-DA10BEFA35FD.jpgE33D9C80-8CAF-499F-86FA-F7CCB053D7AF.jpg

Over the weekend I re adjusted the rear bumper to sit the right way and added in some reinforcements to keep it in place and not sag. So far so good, real test will be taking off-road and see what happens.

So I took my truck out on good 4x4 trail this weekend. The new ADS coilovers felt so good! The rear Bilsteins were good too, could definitely feel the additional travel getting worked well.

I’m still having trouble with my swing out and sagging, maybe I’m over thinking it, but I’m set on cutting off the lock and boxing the c channel and relocating the lock somewhere else. I want it to work the way it’s suppose to. I added the swing down table and I cant really use it for my stove because it’s at such an angle.

Ok so I boxed the c channel with some beef 3/4” bar. Had to bevel the edges and heat it up with my torch before welding but ended up burning in well. I still need to figure out another locking location. 346969B6-B427-4705-8B8D-CAB0D477D464.jpg44F770B1-2749-4667-954C-58E52E8867CF.jpgFB0B9D8A-07A2-42B2-ABD1-1121302C1CF7.jpg

Finished up my lock for my swing out, happy with the way it turned out and how it it works. Not the prettiest thing but no worries about that.B3E09E91-406F-43EC-A8E8-F23BFA8FEF05.jpg
