CBI sliders, ADS extend travel with compression adjuster coil overs, 9” Bilstein 5125 rear shocks, Icon Tubular UCA, Alcan custom leafs, All Pro Apex bumper and skids, NWTI rear diy bumper, 295/70/17 Cooper St Maxxs and nitro 4.88s.
After taking my truck out this past weekend, up some mountain grades in 85-90 degree weather, my engine and tranny temps were great. In the steepest long pull both got up to 205 then backed off pretty quick. Otherwise the motor was 190-191 and tranny was 160-170. So I’m thinking my lower hose was collapsing under loads. I’m just happy that things are better.

Truck got a new steering rack and power steering cooler. I will be looking to maintain the fluid better moving forward. I would occasionally suction the fluid out and put new fluid in but that’s really not good enough. The fluid was pretty brownish. So I’ll be monitoring more and doing flushes more often to treat the system better.

Yikes, it’s been 5 months since I’ve made any updates. I haven’t done shit in that time lol today I pulled the throttle body and maf they were both filthy. Truck idled better after and was more responsive.

I have no major plans really for my truck these days. Few things I’d like to do at some point are:
    • Create a tcase skid
    • Re do electrical with a switch pro
    • Relocate arb compressor and run onboard air to front and back
    • Drive it over rocks and shit

Actually that’s not true, my leafs were sagging and under rated for the weight of my truck. So I ordered a new pair of Alcans rated for 1100 over stock with a 3” lift.

I also placed an order for a snorkel upgrade pre filter head to help combat the gunk build up that I cleaned out of my throttle body. I hope it works well.

I wish I would have taken some pics of my throttle body. But you know how it goes sometimes. Get into work mode and forget to lol

Rebooted and regreased one of my RCVs on my lunch. I was having a click in the front end while I was in 4wd. Swapped my oem cvs in and it fixed the problem. I had both the outer boot straps break on the RCVs right after I got them last year and I just re strapped it but apparently that wasn’t a good enough fix. There still seemed to be a good amount of grease but either way I’m hoping this fixes the problem. CB79BF44-2753-458A-81F0-034A0114DDDC.jpg

Rebuilt my other rcv, and rebooted another spare I had laying around. 5CE64E15-9732-42FB-BD2E-98CA4F85D79D.jpgB27B1D32-7DDB-4336-93BC-C4FEA857AC1F.jpg

my plan is to swap one rcv back in at a time to make sure that rebooting has corrected the clicking I was getting. Time will tell.

Another interesting problem that came up, drained my crawl box and filled it and when I was going to reinstall the fill plug, it literally stripped the threads out. It never got tight. Not sure what to do I called TG and they said “I’ve never seen that happen before” but quickly suggested plugging it and filling from the top. Long story short the plug got jb welded in place and I’ll be filling from the top. A little frustrating.

Well at least it was the fill port! I stripped out a rear axle drain plug and basically did the same thing you did.

Honestly haven’t seen a need for it, and at original install I was just simplifying things.
