Tundra brake swap is completed! Actually did the mod last weekend. I love the smooth braking now. I have much more petal and fantastic stopping power. I don’t feel like I need to slam the brakes to stop at a red light anymore. Overall very happy I did the upgrade.

Definitely! The hardest part was breaking the upper brake line nut loose.

Alright, So after my experience with my All-Pro standard leafs, I reached out to All-Pro for help. They agreed to warranty my springs and replace them with Expos. My complaint was they were way too soft. My normal day to day weight includes a bed platform and a camper shell, and camping gear/climbing gear/firewood etc on the weekends. They originally told me the standards would work best. My rear sat at 39" with no additional gear and with gear would sink to 36".5 to 37.5". They were too soft for the additional weight. They are made for the guys without campers and don’t haul much.

It took a while to get my set of expos. First set was lost by ups, second set they sent me were standards, the 3rd was sent to the wrong address and finally after about 6 weeks, I got my set. I installed them two days ago and my initial experience with them is going well. They are what I expected from the standards. Im excited to see how they hold up to the camping gear! They have my rear sitting at 40" im hoping they settle a little bit.

Swapped my coilover spring out from a 13” 650lb spring to a 14” 700lb spring. So much less preload, I can finally get the front end to same height, it honestly drives better and overall I’m happy I did the swap. Gained another inch up front, so I’m pretty much level now. I used Kings because they were $65 cheaper than the icons. Again over all I’m happy

Well, its been a few months since ive posted anything here and Im at work not wanting to work, so I figured id add an update. I have been trying to slow down on the mods lately and let my wallet take a breather. Its hard to do when you are scrolling through TW everyday seeing cool shit that you want to add, so in turn I wasnt on here as much either.
Here is the few things I have done:
    • Yakima rack with A1 Raingutter mounts and wide body mounts on the camper shell.
    • KC daylighters(Id light to upgrade with the drop in LED replacements)
    Not a long list haha

Here is what I got in the works:
    • NW trail innovation DIY rear wrap around bumper kit (Ordered)
    • Rear Custom Alcan leafs to replace my All Pro expos(after about 6 months of using them I still need more, I added the rack to the camper shell for a Thule box occasionally and also kayaks. With two kayak and camping gear I was sagging pretty hard.). Went with the truck weight +600lbs and I think they will work great, and I know if I ever need to alter them add more weight capacity Alcan will help with that. The All pro pack is what it is, they take modification to even add a AAL and the customer service there is gone completely.
Anyway, Im excited about the mods that are on the way. My leafs and bumper kit here should be here in a week or two!

Bumper is welded and on! Alcan springs are on. This is from today on my way home. You can see the new springs handle the load great and still provide good lift.

Do you have any more pics of the rear bumper? How did the process of welding it up go?

So my uncle did most of the welding. He’s a retired welder from the iron workers trade. He welded pretty much all of it on the bench and then we put the mounts on the truck and welded the bumper to them.

Took quite a bit of filament cutting and grinding. The tolerances of the pieces were loose thus took some extra work. I think for the price of the bumper the kit could use some work and would have better instructions.

With that being said I’m happy with the bumper and I think it looks great as well will be good protection.

Quick List of upcoming projects/to-dos. 9/6/18
    • Install reverse lights into new bumper 9/10/18
    • Install blue sea fuse box and clean up wiring in the engine bay( just ordered everything, need to fab a mounting plate.)
    • Install winch quick disconnect(Ive had for months just needs to get put on the truck)
    • Install power to the bed of the truck(lights would be nice)
    • Grey wire mod(been few times wheeling when this would have been really helpful)
    • Tack weld mod(Tired of the slop)
    • Install curtains in the camper shell(already made them)
    • Paint my dog platform I made for the cab. (for cleaning it easier)9/6/18
    • Install new smaller windshield wiper reservoir(Ordered: noticed mine was cracked and im tired of seeing it hang out of the bottom of my bumper)
    • Install new rear brakes
    • Fix camper shell seal 9/6/18[/S]

I think that is it. Needed to write that down somewhere, as my memory sucks these days.

It made it much more stiff, I probably could have got away with going to a 14" 650lb spring and it would probably ride better. The stiff springs are saving me from having to rebuild my icons as much tho and gives me great lift.

Thanks for the info- seems like people have different experiences between stiffer spring vs. pre-loading. If you need the icons re-valved, I'm almost 100% convinced when mine need to, they will get the 'slow speed stack'- supposed to ride much better at low speed. And if you have stiffer springs, you are now making the shock piston move even slower, putting the Icons in that stiff area more often.

I’m going to revalve my icons for sure. And I might even step down to the lighter spring. I’m also debating ditching the icons all together and going with kings
