Once I'm back in a garage and get the daily 100% good to go, my truck goes under the knife for that, valve covers and some new bushings all around

I need to get myself one of those! A DD! Would make it a lot easier to get work done on the truck

Why did you go with Trail Fail LBJ's? While I was IFS, I took my truck in for a coolant flush... they said there was a recall on the LBJ's so they repaired them on the spot for free?

EDIT: I now see those are tie rod ends. Hopefully you didn't go with TG LBJ's. Your life possibly depends on this part.

    Be careful...

I posted a photo on the previous page of the LBJs as well, I made sure to get OEM as I know it is important.

Good call brother... we need to be safe out here.
Did you not qualify for the recall?

Well got everything but skids back on. LBJs, inner and outer tie rods w/ new boots and energy suspension steering rack bushing(the hardest of all it). Took about 4 1/2 hours. Got the alignment close. Drives pretty straight but I’m gonna drop it off tomorrow for an alignment. It’s suppose to rain so I’m glad it’s all done. The old parts are now trail spares

Also new tires are on today before all the work. 295/70/17 Cooper St Maxxs. I’ll have to grab some better pictures

Thanks man! Been a long time in the running. There’s a few things left on my list of to-dos but nothing super critical.

That is a really clean, good looking truck!

It's funny, I knew you were in CA from the first pic I saw of your truck. I spent 3yrs in San Diego, loved driving in the desert, hated the traffic!

So far so good. They don’t feel much different than the 32’s which makes me happy. I’m loving the look and stance of them. I need to do some more trimming to get them to not rub when flexing, just haven’t had time

That’s awesome. Seems like cool size. I didn’t realize how many options there are in that size.

Yeah I know. They are 33.4” by 12” . The side wall reads 33x11.5 tho

Hoping this fixes my creaky noise during slow turns that has developed recently

So the creaky noise was coming from the steering rack, I didn’t grease the energy suspension bushings. So I pulled the rack off and and greased it all up and the noise is gone.

Also when I installed my LBJs I I cross thread a bolt so I pulled the spindle off and re tapped the hole. It’s all back together and looking good.

Lastly, work that I need to do:

Swap my leafs, I think they were labeled wrong when I got them and is causing an 1” difference in height. At the same time I have 3degree shims to install.

Also need to change the front diff fluid since I haven’t done that yet since the new gears.

At what point do you decide your front diff is broken in? ECGS just told me to let them break in naturally as 4wd is used. But didn’t really give a specific mileage like they do with the rear diffs.
