Alright, so 4xinnovation started their sale this morning and I pulled the trigger on their swing out to weld on to my bumper only 5% off but whatever, saved money is saved money. It says 6-8 lead time. Im hoping I can find time between now and then to weld on my frame CBI reinforcements. Im wondering if a Lincoln 140 mig welder is enough power for both projects.

Got one of the Scion tC seats into the truck. Took a little work but had fun being creative. The seat is night and day better than the stock seat. Slightly higher but so much more support.

Yes, and I must say the MPGs from the prius have been nice on my wallet as well as it being much more comfortable to drive in traffic.

    Nice!
Prius is my favorite non Tacoma vehicle.

Have you done the math on when your car pays for itself vs driving the truck?

Mine is 5 years but that was calculated at $3.00/gallon. Haven’t updated with realistic gas prices yet.

Yeah would take about 4 1/4 years just considering gas. But realistically it would be soon if consider other maintenance like tires and brakes etc.

Yeah true...with regenerative breaking your brakes should last to like 180,000 miles and then 10,000 mile oil changes, coolant at 100K, spark plugs at 120k ot something.
Does it even have belts or is the ac, steering, water pump all electric?
I took a break from my normal job in2014 and sold Toyota’s for a year and learned a bunch.

It’s all electric no belts. Mine is a 2013 Prius C with 90k so I’ll do the coolant and spark plugs now. Should be the last major things it needs for a while. Which is crazy! The truck is so much more in maintenance mostly preventative tho.

I bought a 2016 Scion IM (Corolla hatchback) last March. I would have gotten a Prius but I was a bit obsessed with getting a manual. My truck is the only auto I’ve ever owned.

Not even close...I get about 35 mpgs if I keep it under 80mph. Not bad but not prius mpgs. It has a 14 gallon tank so I can push 400 miles out of a tank.
    How does the Prius do?

So far I’ve been 46-47mpg on the first few tanks. But I don’t drive to increase the mpgs at all. I’ve been filling up around 350 miles. But that’s about 7ish gallons

Finally installed my swing out! On the truck. I want to figure a table and some additional mounts before painting. But I’m excited to know I have a full size spare again!

I have also finally got my self a welding setup, which starts opening up some other projects I’ve wanted to do, like cam tab gussets, beefing up my skids, frame reinforcement plates and the swing out.

which vise did you keep for yourself for bench use?

I have the columbian From the previous post mounted to my bench right now. But I’m going to sell that to my buddy and replace it with a Reed 204 that I haven’t got yet. I also kept the Reed 103 for the other side of my work bench. The rest of them I have sold. And made a decent return on. I just picked up this wilton today, this might also replace the columbian. I like the pipe jaws option. E61A91AC-3C4C-4900-ABF4-1D4BBE9FB5C3.jpg
