Yeah i just watched that to, so sad it was his first olympics.

On a side note i can't believe they essentially showed a video of him dying on the news, what a lack of respect for his family.

Prayers go out to his family

NBC Evening news had it. The guy went off the track and into a steel beam at about 80 mph.

Oh my god that is so sad! That video is just graphic. He was probably going somewhere around 80mph and just abruptly stops. Oh my god that is horrible. Prayers to his family and friends.

Yea 80+, those walls seem pretty low for those speeds in the area, I hope that is the first and last crash.

There has been several other crashes on this course, and they are saying it is one of the fastest courses. They definitely need to step up the safety there, as it would be very easy to do (taller wall, pads on the beams etc.). This should have never happened.

To the family... I am sorry for the loss of your loved one.

Yeah, I was thinking that it was inappropriate for them to show it. That was someone's child/loved one/friend. Very sad:pray:

Just saw that on the news as well, I feel bad for him and his family. And I can't believe they showed that on the news.
