Not too long ago I installed the OME 3" lift kit from Toytec complete with diff drop etc. I got the 883 coils despite the fact that I have a 2.7 to preemptively combat inevitable sag. I have just completed the drive to Prudhoe Bay, AK from Edmonton, AB. Needless to say it was a bumpy ride especially in the sections between Whitehorse YT and the border and Coldfoot, AK to Deadhorse, AK. I have noticed a undeniable looseness/ potential wobble in, as far as I can tell, the driver side suspension mechanism. I have gone and checked countless times to make sure everything is tight, and it has me a little baffled. I'm curious to know if any other tacoma owners with the same lift have experienced anything similar. The whole lift has no more than 20,000km's on it. I chose OME for its timeless reliability in suspension technology, I was kinda hoping to get more than 20k out it. Any help is greatly appreciated.

A lift, some wheels, some tires, some performance, some cosmetic and then audio.
Are you sure you didn't loose some wheel weights and it is throwing you off making it seem like you have a shake/wobble?

    1. I'm carrying around about 500lbs of camping gear and the like atm.
    2. Sway bar is still on.
    3. Checked the tie rods, they look fine; however they could be worn.
    4. Full lift save for the leaf springs.
    5. OME nitro charger shocks all round.

It's definitely not wheel weights, only when I hit bumps do I notice it, it's not a constant vibration/ wobble.

I've got the same setup but with the 3.4. And I'm a DC. But I had some weird vibration issues as well at first but it's gone away after 2,000 miles or so :notsure: is the steering loose too? Or do you just hear a vibration?

I had no idea there were different nitro charger...didn't even occur to me. Just thought it was a generic shock that they made. I'm assuming I have the newer kinds considering the recentness of the installation. I don't know if the plastic guards are any indication. Either way it's still knocking about down there. The mention of tie-rods got me thinking so I'm going to look into that when I get home. They're still the stock tie-rods and the truck is coming close to 400,000kms so perhaps the increased control arm angle with the lift did'em in. We'll see I suppose.

I had crazy knocking on my driver side before installing my lift. I replaced inner and outer tie rods at the same time I had my lift installed but I don't have anymore noise. I think the outer was the only one bad but I changed both anyway.

I think the noise was also worn out bushings on my old suspension. Did you check your sway bar end link too? Mine made some noise after lifting because I didn't tighten it down enough after disconnecting.

Did you get an alignment done after install?

Haven't had time to check the tie-rods yet tho i suspect that's the problem, could be pooched sway-bar bushings too...

New ball joints were put in with the lift (upper and lower) and alignment was done as well.
