Are you 4wd? If so, your cv axles are going to be at quite an angle if you do 4"

Not sure you bought the best spring for your wants man, that's only a 2.25-2.5" lift coil. You'd need to add spacers and preload to have nearly double the lift of what you ordered.

I think a significant number of people tear cv boots at 3". Your chances of problems go up with ever higher lifts. That said, an 887 coil would have gotten you closer to your goal.

2.5" lift bro. Making it a 4 inch by preloading is a bad idea. You can't preload it higher than .85 and I'm not sure that's even recommended with 884s. As I said before, you would need to preload and add spacers and it would likely ride like shit.

If it was me I would sell the incorrect coils and buy some more suited to what I actually want.

The consensus with respect to diff drops is that they do not work on 2006+ Tacos. I would do a little more research before installing the dd and cranking a bunch of preload onto your 5100s

people pre load the 5100s with stock springs all the time and have zero issues. i was just curious if anyone has done the 884s set at .85 and what kind of results they got

Stock springs and 884s are totally different?!

Seriously? Advice is given. Buy new springs. You seem in over your head a bit.

They are too short. The 887s are taller but with the same spring rate. Do some research and you'll be in a much better position to tackle this mod.

Because 2.5" lift (max) coil and 4" desired lift height. Preloading them at 1.75 isn't correct, smart, or a good idea.

Do as you wish, but I wish you would listen.

from what ive read on this site guys are running 884s with the billys set at .85 to achieve 3" but most guys have access or double cabs with the 4.0 that are much heavier than my regular cab with the 4 cylinder.

ill look into the 887 springs, hopefully they will take them back if i change my mind

i saw a 1" body lift for like $175 i think its on wheelersoffroad.com , if ur dead set on this i would go no compression with those coils to get u 2.5 (which you should get since ur a 4 banger unless u have a bumper) and then a 1" body lift
