OME 885 & AAL Install

Next week some time I should receive my OME Kit with 886 and Dakar leafs. I will do mine by myself. Maybe you can wait and organize a MOD day . I have a friend that has mechanic shop and he will let me use his press.
What do you say?

I don't work on Sundays( holy day), and I will be in Vacation in that period, but I can wait till the 25-26 of January.

 

yes, 5100's can also adjust up to 2.5" with the stock springs, which will put your front end up higher the the rear.

 

Get the new factory UCA bolts, makes for easier install.

 

I can get a pair of LR UCA's from Sierra Expeditions for $500. Probably go that route. Will I need new U bolts for the AAL? They didn't come with any.

 

I would recomend some, the stockers might be long enough but The Ayotolla of Tacoma Chris 4X4 has stated the stock U-Bolts although usually undertorqued at the factory are "Torque to yeild meaning a one time torqueing and then toss em.

I cut the head off stock bolts and they were easier to take out without bashing up any metal area's. Put new UCA bolts in backwards.

OP I'm sure you can find them cheaper, I think when I bought my LR UCA's I paid right around $400 for them shipped.

 

Why the hell don't they include U-bolts with the AAL? What do I get 7 1/2 or 8 1/2.

 

I used my stock u bolts.

 

New UCA's and U bolts ordered. FML.....I can hear her already
