This was exactly what I wanted to hear! Thank you. Did you lift the rear at all? Any chance you have a picture of your vehicle you could post?

I did. Running Toytec boss shocks & Dakar pack in the rear; around a 2 1/2" lift. I don't have any after pics yet, but I'll try to grab one today.

I know this has probably been answered before, but with an access cab with sliders and 200lbs of skids, should I be looking at the 887's or 886's to achieve close to 3" of lift? Not looking to put a front plate bumper on at this point in time but concerned with the armor weight.

Been thinking about 887's with an OME top plate on the driver side. Thoughts?

The 887s should be sufficient. 886s will work but they will probably be stifffff

An access cab is about 100lbs lighter than a double cab (based on what I'm seeing on here, somebody correct me if I'm wrong). That means you're only about 100lbs heavier than a stock double cab. That's less weight than a typical passenger. The 887s will be fine. If you're planning on adding a bumper or winch in the future just do 886s now.

i had my 887s set at 0 and did not get 3 inches, got more like 2 or even a little less than 2, i moved up to .85 today and now am extremely happy, it is level with the back just about and its actually looking lifted up front now

I read that stock 3rd gens sit an inch higher than stock second gens...so if that's truly the case, it makes sense that you only got 2 inches with the 887s.

I appreciate the insight. I think I'll be fine with the 887's as a bumper/winch will be added a lot further down the road.

well to start with the original setup i only drove about 800 km on, and now this set up I've just driven today 50 km or so, so its hard to tell but the ride shouldn't suffer too much, either way ill live with it to get the lift i desire.

the back got a deaver AAL, 1.5-2 inch, i think i got 2 inches

Was there a lot of trimming with the fj wheel and did you have to run spacers if so what size did you get ?

No, I'm not running spacers. And no, we haven't really trimmed at all. We did heat up the inside fender and pushed it back a little. I still rub a tiny bit, but only on the mud flap.. if I was willing to take those off, I wouldn't rub at all. But I'm keeping them on for now.

Yea we haven't had any issues with it hitting the cab mount at all. But with that being said, alignment is going to play a huge role. Hopefully you won't run in to any problems though.

@Unchained 5150 how are the JBA A arms? Did you end on 887/ with 5100's? Any feedback is appreciated.

I have the 887s, bilstein 5100s at 0. And LR Uca. The springs have settled quite a bit and obviously doesnt look at lifted as when they were freshly installed.

The question is, for people that have set the 5100s at .85 with the 887s, is there any issues?
