    I never posted after

I never followed up on my own install. I've had 887s and 5100s installed for about 8 months now. No complaints at all and I like the ride so much better than my preloaded sport coils.

Sorry, this is my ignorance, but has anyone done 887’s with the stock Bilsteins? If the 5100’s are set at 0, would it basically be the same as just keeping stock? On the AAL, are most keeping stock Bilsteins in the rear? I already have 1” blocks that I can possibly use also (meh). I am hoping for an overall 1-1 1/2” lift with 2-2 1/2” front (before tires) and want to avoid UCA cost for now (hopefully).

5100's all around, OME 887 with 1/4" spacer, icon 3 leaf aal. 255/75/17 BFG KM's on 4runner pro's. Rigid led pods. Debadged and tinted.
OME says you can't use their springs in stock Bilsteins. I have no idea why. If the 5100 spring seat works with the OEM spring, I do t know why they wouldn't work together.

If you want a little less lift in the front, you can do 2nd gen 5100s with 887s. That will get slightly less lift due to the 0 setting on those shocks.

I never actually measured, but I would say 3in front and 1.5in rear.

265/70r17 is what I'm running. If you want to run 285s, you need to get the saw out.

Great question, I don't think you will find many tires in those size. It all depends on on your wheel set up as well.

Is anyone with this setup running with a steel plate bumper? ARB or similar?

I've got 887s and 5100 waiting to be mounted but I'm also going to be adding a 130# C4 bumper and possibly a 70# winch too. OME suggests using the 886 (with #90000s) up front with that kind of weight. Though I've heard others say that 887s with a little weight up front actually rides better than without. But I'm thinking 200# of weight on the 887s might be too much and I should use the 886 instead. In that case would the bilies still be ok or would it be better to swap those too for OME #90000s?

How much lift should I expect with the 887/5100 on my 2014 DCLB TRD Sport with a ARB bumper and Winch combo. Trying to not having to replace the UPCA if possible.

I would skip 887s and get the 886x coils. They have a stiffer spring rate designed for extra weight up front.

Chase8059, Thanks for the suggestion. I do know that the 886 springs would be ideal for the bumper combo but I am only wanting around 2" of lift so was hoping that the 887 would work with the weight.

I've been taking about this very thing with Marie at @HeadStrong Off-Road. With that much weight up front you likely won't get 2" after it settles. She mentioned that she's seen them settle as much as an inch. There's also a greater risk of the coil buckling. I went ahead and opted for the 886

It all just comes down to how much weight is being added. The 883, 884, 85, 887 and 888 (3rd gen coils), all have the same 590lb spring rate. What changes is the free length of the coil. Meaning they are taller as you go higher in number. We do it differently then other companies and even ARB because we spec the coils out with stock weight trucks (based on 4dr 4wd v6's) this way you know how much height you would get stock. Now as you add weight the coils will settle down. How much they settle depends on overall vehicle weight and mfg tolerances of the coils themselves. In cases where I have seen customers add around 200lbs to these 590lbs coils they have reported up to around 1" of height loss. It is not an exact science so these again are averages.

Another thing to note because I am seeing this more and more. When you are looking at specs or comparing your truck/build to another's please make sure you are looking at the exact same trim and same generations. What will provide around 2" on a 2016+ will not provide the same 2" on a 05-15.

Are the OME coils side specific? I've had this setup on now for about 6 months and it has settled quite a bit (~1" on the PS and ~1.5" DS) and that's with the Taco lean spacer. I thought about replacing it with a thicker spacer but I'm not sure that's the problem. Maybe it's Deaver AAL?

I believe only the OEM coils are side specific since they do take into account the lean.
