I'm in the exact same boat, 100%. I even put my 5100s on the .85 notch, and my passenger side is sitting at 23" and driver's side 22".

finally some 2nd gen with bamf skids :D

I currently have 5100's and toytec/eibach 2.5" coils (set to .85 and with top plate spacers.... long story short, springs are still sagging/not getting lift i want). I've been wanting to swap to 887's, but have heard that some were still only at 2.25-2.5". I've thought about 886's and 5100's (which i know is frowned upon, but people do it), and I've also wondered about running 888’s on a 2nd gen, but never said anything because I know I'll get shit stormed. But whatever, new springs have taken a back seat for a bit

hell yeah some BAMF goodies, i like to shop local.

I wanted to do 886's because i know eventually ill have a plate bumper and winch but everyone says "oh no, too stiff"

Wheelers website said 887's will only give 2-2.25" of lift on a 2nd gen, which totally contradicts what alot of guys seem to get around here. Currently im going to wait, put more miles on the suspension, see if it sags more, develops a taco-lean, then maybe shim her up with some spacers... Or just jump to 886's :anonymous:

edit: Also considered 888's but, didnt find alot of information on them regarding 2nd gens.

I got nitrochargers, but you go ahead lol

Im limited in my desire/ability to swap coils so easily, then visit the alignment shop again. I wish i had a garage to do this one my own at will instead of having to drive out to a buddies.

So here goes. Added 5100s to the rear with my 1 inch blocks . Rides great. Have ordered 5100s and 887 OME Coils. Have a Headstrong 1/4 spacer ready fir Taco Lean. My thoughts are this be about level at the zero setting on the struts. Am I correct ?

I'm currently running 885 on 5100's. I have a bull bar and eventually plan on adding a winch. My question is if I put 887s on my 5100s with a winch and the bumper will I need UCAs? Will the added weight of the winch and bumper sag enough to avoid aftermarket control arms? Does anyone have first hand knowledge on this setup? I've go an 09 DCSB also running sliders.

I’m wanting to install the 5100’s all way around and install 887’s. Wondering if I can run a 18x9 0 offset with 275/65 with this setup. I OffRoad zero but want a good setup with no rubbing.

If i run a 3-leaf progressive pack in the back, and leave the Overload in, will i need longer break lines, and will 5100s be long enough? Also, with 887's on 5100's up front, will i have a slight rake? Asking any guys with double cab second gens out there. Thanks!

I'm considering a similar setup but with the Dakar leaf pack, but wonder if going with the 2nd gen 5100 setup nets a bit more lift. I'm still trying to wrap my head around that aspect.

Was in the same boat as you when I wen twitch my 5100/888 and leaf pack. Now 2 months later I think the cmc is the way to go. Just find someone that does it for well. If you live in Southern California, beastfab does good work.
