Bilstein 5100 OME 888 & 5160 with AAL, SCS F5, Yokohama GEOLANDERS, morimoto hid and led fogs. Clazzio leather seat covers, ECGS bushing, TRD PRO Grill, Hondo Mount, Martin rack, Baja designs. Caliraised, Ov Tuned
I am experiencing some sag with my 888 coils on Bilstein 5100. The Bilstein are the 3rd gens. I have a 1/4” spacer on the diver side.

It’s set at 0 notch setting. I am only getting 22” LF hub to fender and 21.5” RF.

I’ve seen multiple posting on this side and Facebook forums about the 888 sagging.

Contact Headstrong regarding this and looks like OME will only warranty after the springs are taken off and measured for sag. If that’s the case I may as well just buy another set of springs...can’t have my truck sitting without springs until I get replacements.

This would be my 3rd set since I changed out my 885 to the 888.

    Any help?

How long have you had them? I am only 2 months into mine on OME shocks but I don't seem to have any right now. They are still sitting at the same height. Has me worried though because I plan on getting some weight up there with an SSO bumper and wench.

I considered these springs but OME has lost my business with all of the sag issues I see people reporting.

I’ve considered going to OME coils but decided to leave on my stock coils at 1.1” with front slim bumper and winch. Settled maybe to 1/2” lift and AAL in the rear.

You could always go back to stock coils and raise it a little.

Wanted something that would perform better than stock off-road...I’ve used OME on my previous Tacoma and was satisfied however these 888 have issues.

Yea I'm in the same boat. Full OME kit with 888 coils installed April 2018. The ride has been fine, but I lost some height up front. Upgrading to King's real soon. Made the mistake not getting a better quality kit from the start.

Yup known issue for OME. My 888 and 886 sagged within 5 months. Will never buy OME coilover again.

If you're sagging just set the clip height up a notch and you'll gain the height back. I'm pretty sure they don't recommended going above 0 clip height with any of the OME coils because you would theoretically get too much lift. But if you're sagging I see no problem with just setting it higher. If I notice sagging on my 888s my plan is to go up to the second notch.

I’m thinking of doing the same...however with the spring being preloaded like that I’m curious to what the ride will be like.

I believe if the spring has sagged or settled raising the shock back up a notch should not preload the spring.

Boy they really sagged a LOT! Looks like only 1.5" up front. I believe the 888's about 2.18" lift up front on the third gen.

Wonder if anyone with the 887's have sag also

I think he is right... You would have spring preload if the springs were new but since they are sagging preload actually decreased. Maybe compare new install measurements to what they are right now. adjust the difference in the clip?
