So I rebuilt my spring packs with fresh new Toyota leafs, the 3/4 ton leaf, and 1.5" 3leaf AAL from my previous pack. Took some measurements and I think I need to take some more and figure out what to do, shock extenders, relocate shock mounts, etc..
    New spring only droop 28.5"
    Shock extended 25.75"
    Shock collapsed 17.25

Blown shock saga continued: As I unbolted the top shock nut it fully compressed under its own weight lol. For those of you that installed your own, you know how much pressure these bad boys have. The oily/muddy shock will be going back to ARB tomorrow or Monday.

I currently have 4.75" shock up travel and 3.75" shock down travel from my 22" shock static(on ground) extension. Limited by the shock itself...

If anyone is interested in the full BP51 kit we have a couple in stock ready to move, the deal we have going on with them is part of our Inventory Reduction Event.
    PM for details.

Has anyone managed to find a rear shock that is the "correct" length? I really like this kit, and can't bring myself to buy it when it's using such a poorly designed rear shock.

16" - 27" is the compressed / extended range I'm looking for with either a Dakar or All Pro leaf-pack

Poorly designed because the compressed/extended length is the same as OME nitrochargers/ Bilstien 5100s?

If you need extended shocks, Bilstien b110 fits your needs . Also there is a BP-51 made for jeeps that is extended as well, it looks as though it would fit the tacoma. I'm guessing king and the other high end companies make extended length shocks too if you need a remote rez

Hmmm they are somewhere in these threads , I think @luka found them....

    looks like ~25.5

shackle flip with dakars preferable length is needing ~27ish

looks like the jk 4" front extended shocks BPS5160022(front shock has same mounting style as rear Tacoma) are 16.5 collapsed and 26.8 extended....which makes it interesting as the B110 RCD Bilstein's are 16.34 collapsed and 26.34 extended.

might work with minimal modding? who has a friend with a JK to measure?

    Build---

    BP5160021 SHOCK: JEEP 4+ FRONT 633 633mm/395mm (24.9in/15.6in) 2* $510.00 July 2015
    BP5160022 SHOCK: JEEP 4+ FRONT 683 683mm/420mm (26.9/16.5in) 2* $510.00 July 2015
    BP5160023 SHOCK: JEEP4+ REAR 685 685mm/422mm (26.9/16.6 in) 2 $510.00 July 2015

I think I would be interested in seeing someone try these, the eyes look the same for mounting. The only thing I would be concerned about would be the valving, /weight cap

Do a rebuild Swap the shims and guts from your Taco bp's to the Jeep ones? I guess that would make it hard to resell them haha... they do look identical in terms of body size etc

Yep... I for one am cool with the stock length, but my application is different. I upgraded my suspension for long romps on forest roads, washboard type stuff with a few rocky/tech sections in the mix. Then I go really slow and cautiously. I will rarely extend/stuff my gear, especially in the rear.
