Yea that’s weird, they definitely work together. I’ve been running 5100s and OME 885’s for 3 years now. I think it says that because 5100’s are adjustable and it’s recommended to keep them on the lowest adjustment perch (0 inches) when using heavy aftermarket springs. Would recommend a more knowledgeable vendor like https://www.headstrongoffroad.com/

Thank you. I was pretty sure you could but wanted to check before wasting my money. I appreciate it.

Do you have a winch on yours? I was trying to decide between 885’s and 886’s. I have a winch but the bunker is super light not a very heavy set up. I for sure don’t want the front higher than the rear.

All lift coils must be on the 0 setting on the 5100s.

I have a warn 8000S and ARB bumper. When I added sliders and full skids, had to add an inch spacer, sagged too much. I would go 885’s. Worst case, you add a 1/2 inch spacer if it’s too much weight

How do you like your 5100’s and 885’s in terms of ride quality, I’m looking at the same thing. Stock weight.

I don't see on OME’s website to only use their springs with their shocks. I’ve had the 885’s with 5100’s for four years. Height went up about 2.5”, but has settled to two inches. I do have a second battery in the front. I’m going to be moving the setting up one notch when I service the UCA, within a year.

I feel like they use to ride better but currently it’s a pretty bad ride quality. I do have 3/4 inch spacers and about 1200lbs in additional weight up front. My next setup I’ll probably go dobinsons

I’m sure it’s like any other company who sells multiple parts that can work together. They recommend using only their own brand to sell more product. Highly doubt there’s anything proprietary about either item causing them to only work with each other.

The 5100's and 883, 884, 885 coils work well together. I have 5100/885's and when I added the HC bumper I lost a bit of lift (~1/2"). When I bought my shocks and AAL from Headstrong, they recommend that the 886 coils be paired with the OME shocks.
