I currently have OME dakar HDs installed on my truck, but no longer have the daily weight that I used to, therefore I’d like to remove the extra leaf thus dropping the heavy duty pack to the medium duty pack.

I’ve heard that I need to remove the third leaf but is that counting from the top down or bottom up?

Also, I would like some advice on removing leaf.
I’m planning on jacking up under the diff and then removing wheels and placing rear frame on stands. I will then release the Jack and let the leaf springs fully droop. I will then c-clamp the leaf pack and release center pin nut. Then release c-clamp and breakdown pack until I reach the desired leaf. Remove and then repeat steps I reverse.
    Is that correct?

    thanks
