Been running the Med Duty Dakar leafs (which states 0 LBS constant load for 2.75" of lift) for about 8 months now without my CBI rack on my 08. Right now the leafs look like mustaches, I'm wondering if putting the OME AAL on there for permanently running my CBI rack will be a good idea/feasible. Or should I consider just upgrading to the Heavy Duty(boasting 660 LBS constant for 2.75") Also for those of you who run the Dakars plus the OME AAL, how has your ride characteristics changed?

Note: I did post this in the OME Q&A thread twice with no answer.

I have the 95r and didn't like the lift it gave with a RTT on bed bars and a loaded truck. It rides great but was only a 1.5" lift. I have the AAL to convert it to a 96r once I get the time.

Aal would be cheaper than a whole leaf pack. And do the job.

Thanks for the inputs fellas. The AAL is probably my best bet. I just hope it doesnt nerf my rear ride quality.

Yea I know :(. I just hope with the added weight of my rack it'll ride like it did when I had the rack on stock leafs with an AAL.

Not to hijack the thread here but I do utilize my taco frequently to haul things, but then it rides empty most of the time when I’m not. I feel like my standard pack does not support my use when I do use the truck. I currently don’t have a rear bumper but hope to one day and I will never have an RTT, but am going to put the soft topper on and build a rack for that.

In all would an aal be better then making it a heavy duty setup?
