    Seems good to me with the research I've done.:cool:

    I spent $833.00 for essentially the same set up (including the trim packer) but with 884 coils at the same price as 885's. So your in the ballpark.

    Work in progress, but installed so far; 265/70/17 Duratracs, Spidertrax, OME885X coils with OME lean spacer, OME N140S and N182 shocks, Wheeler's 1.5" 3 Leaf Progressive AAL (kept the overload), LR UCAs. TP14 spacers
    if you aren't cash strapped, you might consider some aftermarket UCAs too. my truck wouldn't align for shit (low caster) after putting on 885s.

    was that with the top plate spacer for 3" or are you at 2.5"? or did you only install the trim-pack for taco lean?

    I'm getting a lot of mixed-comments regarding UCAs. sounds like its hit or miss.

    Pretty good - where'd you get your stuff? I contacted DSM directly, so that price should be with the TW discount for whatever that's worth.

    3" you def need UCA at 2" some at 2.5" got away w/o new UCA.

    Right.

    I'm painfully aware of the 2.5" gray line. I'm preparing myself mentally (and financially) for the possibility of needing UCAs.

    If i need UCAs, at that point I'll just install the top plate spacer and get another 1/2" of lift.

    'Lifetime alignments' is a wonderful thing :D

    That was with a trim packer, but without top plate spacers. I had my truck aligned right after I installed my lift and they never gave me a printout, but they said the numbers were "perfect". It drove like hell (loose steering, wander at highway speeds, and bumpsteer), and Elwood on TW suggested that I get it checked by another shop because he thought my numbers were bogus. Turns out I had <1* caster on both sides. Best this new shop could get was 1.2*. So, I tried that and it still drove like crap. Bought LR UCAs, put those on and have never regretted it. I put on ToyTec's TP14 spacers for a little extra height when i was putting the UCAs on.

    Botton line, it might be hit or miss. My advice is that you be ready to buy UCAs if you don't like the way it handles....EVEN IF THE ALIGNMENT NUMBERS ARE "PERFECT". A lifted truck with the setup you are looking at should drive and ride as well as it did stock (mine does now).

    Good advice, man - Thanks. Don't want it to wander like I'm drunk.

    Maybe its worth it, even if you do get alignment and it drives well, it doesn't mean it will stay within spec forever. And because you are changing the geometry, you may still be wearing out the ball joints on stock UCAs even though alignment is within spec.

    Looks like I'm up to $1300....

    Sorry man. Honestly, you can give it a shot without the UCAs first. I put my UCAs on a couple months after the lift and found them to be much easier to do than the original lift install.
