OME Lift Advise

    Hi everyone,

    I know there is a ton of information on the forum about the OME lifts, but I was hoping to get some specific advise for my application.

    I have a 2009 DC TRD Sport with bull bar. Initially, my interest was to level out the front of the truck and now has spawned to a 3" lift and level. With that said, I have researched and decided that the OME 885 coils, 90000 shocks with AAL is a good fit. She's mostly a street queen, but I like to do the occasional trail.

    My questions is, to accomplish a level look, do I need the top spacers? Also, it sounds like new UCAs are an important addition, is this the case?

    I'm new to the forum and appreciate any advice.

    I have a '11 AC 4Banger with 885s & Dakars and ended up with stock rake 3" higher.
    With DC & V6 your front won't come up as much as mine but nether will your rear with the AAL.
    You will probably get somewhere between 2 1/2" to 2 3/4" without the spacers.
    So if you get the 1 1/2" AAL you should get a net gain of 1" to 1 1/4" up front.
    And if you get the 2" AAL you should get a net gain of 1/2" to 3/4" up front.
    1/4" spacer gives you 1/2" of lift
    If you think you might get a plate bumper (non ARB) and winch you might want to get the spacers and not install them until you put on the bumper. If you order the spacers you will get the longer bolts on top & not have to take the springs off later to put the longer bolts on.
    As for UCAs it's debatable if you need them or not. I didn't get them for mine and it drives fine.

    What did you end up going with? I am going to replace my spacer lift with the OME 885's and wasn't sure about the AAL. I want to keep it as level as possible.

    I've got the same lift ready to install.....

    I have a few questions.

    1. Do you remember your alignment numbers after the lift ?
    (very interested because of retention of stock UCA)

    2. Did you drop the carrier bearing ?

    3. Any issues issues with the half shaft angles ?

    Depends on what you do with the rear.
    Seems like most get around 2-1/2" with naked 885's and 90000's
    I like a slight rake, but if you want level you may have to add 1/4" spacers in the front after you break it in and re-assess the stance.
    Vendor's propaganda indicates the 1/4 spacer yields about 1/2" in actual lift.

    It's well documented the caster adjustment suffers with these lifts and stock UCA's. The reason for the aftermarkrt UCA's is to regain caster and some are slimmer and allow more clearance for over-sized tires.

    I like stock rake.
    I got 3" from 885s on my 4Banger AC without spacers.
    They came off a V6 AC with plate bumper, winch & skids and he used the spacers
    DC V6 will get around 2 1/2" without spacers (OZ-T)
