After doing hours of research i still can not make up my mind. I understand that 880/881 coils were made for 1st gens. 882s people use but ive seen mixed opinions about them. Same spring rate but some say 882s ride stiff? I have a 2004 tacoma double cab V6 prerunner. Want 3" lift but i cant deal with a stiff ride anymore (has spacers now and i feel every bump on the road). Im stuck between 881s and 882s. They will be going on 5100 shocks set at the bottom notch and the truck has no weight on the front other than some KC lights. Ive looked at over 140 pages on the ome 1st gen setup forum post.

I have a 2000 Tacoma prerunner V6 2WD Extended cab and I have the 881 paired with billys set at 0". My ride is super stiff.... I am not sure how the ride will be for a double cab....

i dont believe the 881/882/883 will give 3", i have your same truck and wheelers recommended the 883. Give them a call and they will point you in the right direction

I just talked to lowrange offroad, they recommend 881s with no weight on the front. If they are to low i guess ill be ordering 882s soon aswell lol or might just so a top plate spacer 1-4 or 1/2"
