my toytecs are taking the additional weight of CBI moab and warn m8000 winch. my bumber is 10guage and approx weight added is around # 200 lbs. it sagged about a inch the 1st time it settled after the install, i adjusted back to 3" of lift, a day later it sagged about a .5" and i adjusted again, its been over a week and holding just fine. rides the same if not better with the additional weight.

So to all who have the OME kit who use the spacer provided, who all incounter the "bottoming out" over speed bumps? Big concern, only hold up for me to pull the trigger on the OME lift kit.

I use the 5 mm trim packer, no problems with bottoming out over speed bumps.... I don't even feel them...

I'll throw this Q in here since I haven't seen it addressed; how do any of the lifts mentioned affect the factory warranty (if at all)? I've heard horror stories about aftermarket mods voiding warranty and causing headaches, just wondering if anyone has dealt with this issue directly.

I am new to this site but have really enjoyed this thread. This is by far the best resource I have found on the subject. My question is (yes I did take the time to read the entire thread even though I am a newbie) I notice all the info. seems to pertain to fairly new Tacomas, I have a 1998 xtra cab V-6 SR5 that I have owned since new and has been so awesome (still runs and looks almost like new) that I plan on keeping it for allot longer still as a second vehicle. Am I safe to assume that the info here would generally be true for an older model Tacoma? Does anyone have experience on the older trucks? I plan, so far on going with the full rear leaf package instead of adding a leaf because the rear does droop noticeably and I am thinking that this would better solve the problem since the original leafs have suffered thru nearly 1/4 million miles. Other than that I am leaning toward the Toytec U.C.K. but not totally decided. Any info on how all the good info posted on this thread relates to the older trucks will be greatly appreciated.

I went with the OME kit, no spacers, no drop or relocate kits, no UCA's.. No vibes, no floaty steering, no problems. The only thing I had to order that didn't come with the kit was extended brake lines.

I have the Dakar leaf pack and Im going to get some new lines. I have just over 1350 miles on my lift and the back is 25" from the cntr. hub. 4" higher. The ride is great flat on turns and smooth. Just a little more road nose from the tires.

Toytec Ultimate Lift Kit here! I love it! Stiffer than the stock suspension. But I now could take corners and turns without feeling the "roll" effect. Not that I'm out racing on a auto-x course or anything.. lol

Besides small bumps or cracks in the road, the ride is extremely smooth.

    Highly recommended!

Relentless front aluminum bumper. Le Devil Horns (_)

I would say if you want a complete set up, get some new UCAs (most that go with the OME seem to go with the LR UCAs but there are many other options) and for the complete set up, get the Dakar leaf packs as well, not those flimsy a$$ add a leafs. :p of course, the total for all that will be in the $1500 range.
