Let me rephrase my statement , if you want a perfect alignment after lifting 2 1/2" - 3" and not merely max out your caster and say " good enough " you will almost certainly need UCA's and the caster they offer

I'm pretty sure the LR's are only $399 if you order them with the ULK. At least mine were. I'm still very happy with my ULK. Excellent performance on and off the road! 16,000miles and still going strong!

I have to agree with the OZ though, if affordable, get the UCA's now and be done with it! Drivability and tire wear...expensive learning experiences!

I talked to one of the guys at Toytec and he said it's a common misconception that you need UCAs for anything under 3". He said to get a good alignment from someone who knows what he's doing.

    Toyota's are awesome
We will match any advertised sale price on Light Racing UCAs. This is also an item we have on the shelf and stock quite a bit of.

I wish I would have known that about toytec!!

I still need more parts for my lift... Ext. Brake lines and spidertrax wheel spacers...

From now on I'll do my due diligence and call Toytec before placing an order elsewhere!

Very informative thread! I thought I was going to get the ToyTec ULK, but have been convinced to go with the OME setup with LR UCAs. I currently have a spacer lift that came with the truck. I am running 275/70/18 tires and need a full 3 inches.

I have a bull bar and I know that add's some weight. Do I need the 886's or will the 885's with the spacer be sufficient to get the full 3 inches? Also I don't do much hauling, will the standard AAL be enough to level the truck? Thanks!

Those bull bars aren't THAT heavy. I think you'll be fine with the 885s

It's not bad. It's all highway driving. I'm getting around 20 miles/gallon. Plus my company pays me mileage for everything over that 60 miles round trip to and from work. But I do fill up several times per week!

I'm going to update this a bit...

The ToyTec is thread adjustable (preloads the spring) and the OME is shim adjustable.

ToyTec is assembling the OME's now.

Some have reported the need for sway bar relocates with the OME struts.

The Australians (OME) probably have more experience in modifying the suspensions of Toyota vehicles than anyone on the planet.
Their focus has always been on real world performance for running out in the Australian bush, not for looks.
