    Correct,

    285/75R16 is basically a 33x11.50
    285/70R16 is basically a 32x11.50

    I know 33x10.50 are kinda hard to find but if you don't have to buy new wheels or spacers to run them with a 3 in lift and new uca's I'd be willing to use a tire that size even if it was not my favorite just to save the money.

    Any one running this set up? 3in lift, TC uca's and 33x10.50 on stock wheels?

    You are increasing the width of your stock tires by about an inch and also the height by about an inch.

    From your findings this would in fact create problems, running on the stock uca.

    You might want to double check that.

    Do some reading in the tires & wheels section, I'd venture that you would be the first to not need modding.

    When you go for the test, make sure to go around some corners.

    It also doesn't take extreme offroading. Go over a speed bump.

    Agreed. It's already pretty tight sticking snow chains on stock tires.

    Just wanted to thank everyone for helping me out. I found out I was dead wrong and wanted to post as such.

    My understanding of tire sizes was off a bit. Without spacers or aftermarket UCA's, the 275 is as wide as you can go.

    Without Tacoma World, I would be absolutely and completely lost going into the purchase of my lift kit and tires.

    I also changed my mind on the lift kit for about the 1000th time. Though, this time, I finally picked a kit and actually ordered it - The Toytec Ultimate Lift Kit. The adjustability was just too much to pass over. Also, since I am not installing the kit on my own, this kit actually lowered the cost of labor because the front coils come assembled and there is no spacer needed. The difference in labor and the intangible value of having adjustability more than makes up for the cost difference between OME and Toytec's ULK - IMHO.

    This site is out-freakin-standing :cool:

    I thought I read somewhere about something you do to the OME's that does away with the Taco lean? Am I wrong?

    ACTUALLY....For the Taco lean- You install the 5mm TRIM PACKER. The top plate spacer is to get the full 3 inches with some of the older springs.

    I just figured it was the spacer because it says in the description that it's to correct driver's side ride height. :confused:

    Thats what I thought I heard somewhere, I found on another thread they said to use the 1/4" top plate spacer. What spacer do you use to get the 3"?

    is the OME specific product for the lean. The top plate spacer is an "any application" piece. Either way works...OME just recommends the 5mm trim packer.

    While we're on the subject of "Taco lean", is there a thread count or measurement for the Toytec adjustable coilovers to fix it or is it just an adjustment you eyeball until you get it right?

    I think the crank until they are even method is the way to go...There doesn't seem to be a perfect answer that I have heard of.....

    So why is a spacer ok in the OME kit, but not as a leveling kit?
