i am seriously thinking about lifting my truck, i really really want a 6 inch lift, but i dont like the idea of cutting out a section of the crossmember, i know it might not be a "structurally vital" part, but its still a part. anyways, here is the lift im thinking of getting, does anyone else have this exact kit, not a modified kit (different ucs's or different shocks etc....) but this exact kit, and if so are you satisfied with it? really need some assurance im making the right decision, because its not a cheap one to make. thanks for any info!!!!

So for all the people that praise this lift, how come noone has it? Not a single reply yet?

I looked through most of that thread. Did not see this basic style kit. Most people added new UCA's and different leaf packs and such. Just trying to info on this kit.

Thats just the ome kit with an AAL and not the Dakars

Maybe you would have better luck if you target your thread title to people running the OME kit with AAL or something

The info as far as the fronts should be the same , it kinda all depends on which coils you choose to get

i was going to do the 885 coils, and just do the AAL, ive heard the blocks make it ride a little stiffer and can be harder on the factory leafs. im very new to lifts, i have asked questions on other posts with no replies or answers. so i tried this, and it seems to be the same result.

if i do the lift that is in the link, with 885 coils and the AAL in the rear, with the top plate spacer, will i have alignment problems? will my UCA clank against my front coil, will i need wheels with different backspacing? will i rub, need to trim anything? will the ride improve/degrade?

I have a 2014 DCSB v6. also will i need to go to the 886 coil where its a DCSB?

All this is answered in the thread Oz posted.

Most people change UCA's as a result of 2-3" lift, whether full coil or spacers. If you have heavy objects up front go with heavier coils, if stock go with lighter coils. The ride will be better but that depends on if you understand you are driving a truck and not a Cadillac. Cutting depends on what size tire you go with. Simple AAL like that are just bandaids, get a 3 leaf AAL, custom Chevy leaf AAL, or new leaf pack, if you don't want it to sag and go backwards a step.

i would like to have 3 inches of lift, most people will be wheeling when they lift, i doubt mine will ever see offroad, i have a side by side for that. i doubt i will ever have anything up front, dont need a bigger bumper will probably never put a winch or anything in there. Will the leafs sag even if there is no major hauling done? the heaviest i will ever haul is more than likely my rzr, and that will be towed on a trailor, not in the bed, and not that often, ive had the truck for almost two years and never hauled it yet. why do most people get new UCA's for, is it becaus they hit the coils, or alognment problems? in OZ's thread most didnt say exactly why they got them, just said they changed them out. like i said, i wont be doing anything more than mall crawling in mine.

its a pretty good kit. it was installed on my truck before i bought it. i did change the whole thing because it was pretty stiff for my liking. ive done tons of lift installs with all different combos of parts. bilsteins kit is awesome. best ride quality is fox/king/icon those are the best out there.

If you want 3", use the 887 coils (884 = 2", 885 = 2.5", 887 = 3", 886 is for armor/winch). You'll need aftermarket UCAs because you won't be able to properly align the wheels with the stock UCAs.

From personal experience yes. Sounds like you just want A good lift that rides nice. It's a great kit. To make it even better do some light racing upper control arms. Then your set

so heres my next question. how does changing the uca's keep it from hitting the coil and help with alignment issues?

They have added caster/camber built in.
