hey guys, I'm trying to regain some lift after I lost it with the addition of a steel bumper. I currently have 885s and was told 886s would be too firm since I don't have a winch or any extra weight besides the bumper. I just got off the phone with Wheelers and they said that 887s were stiffer than 885s but softer than 886s. From the chart posted above, that doesn't seem to be the case. If I switched out my 885s with 887s and 3/8" spacer would it end up just being the spacers and extra 5mm coil height that are giving more lift? (I am 2.5" lower in front)

Dan from Wheelers recommended I just put the top plate spacer on my 887's when I get my bumper. I'll be running a Pelfreybilt plate bumper and a winch. Should stay right at 3" with that setup.

884's , 885's and 887's are all the same spring rate , just different heights

the over the speed bump clunk is annoying, my ome fronts did this. mind you my setup was with 884's on a reg cab with dakars. but i did have a 100+lbs bumper up front and beefy sliders and a cap. the ride up front was ok, i just eventually got used to the 'topping out' then on my next setup i had fox adjustable 2.0 coil overs up front, guess how often they made clunks... absolutely never, and they were adjustable... and smoother... ome is ok but for the extra 100 bucks i would certainly go fox again. my dakars sagged with a load, the taco lean was very evident with them also. if not getting a '+' & a '-' non matching pair the lean can be quite noteable. my truck saw a lot of trail time so the leafs did get a lot of flexion and compression. but what do i know, i bought a jeep... but i did buy fox shocks again for a reason. just my 2 cents. either way you will be way better off than stock with ome if you are dead set on that route. ppl here talk about it like its the best thing ever, but really there are better options out there for a little bit more money.

mine were both '+'. i had a few comments that my truck looked crooked from non car types, asking me if it was bent from off roading... but the lean is varied to each different truck.

I have 2 "+" Dakars as well and I haven't noticed any lean, but then again I see my truck every day. lol

I have 885's and Dakars, any questions on\r need pics shoot me a pm. IMHO, Dakars are worth it, I tow my landscaping trailer, even at full load. Pricey, but it's done right.

I got a + and an O spring. No noticeable lean on the fresh install, will measure later.
