After shopping around for a bit, I found the cheaper route was ordering through Toytec. I ordered the OME complete with 885s, Dakars, spidertrax, and extended breaklines, and a few other miscellaneous parts. I'm doing the install myself, so I was set on having the shocks and coils pre-assembled so I didn't have to fool with a spring compressor. Toytec charged $100 for pre-assembly vs. $200 at other places, and the shipping (for my location) was better too...Colorado to Maryland vs. Oregon to Maryland, for example. I could have gone either way - all the places I dealt with were very helpful, but I think I made the right choice and saved a couple hundred bucks. Can't wait!

Can't wait to see it on! Mine came in today. Hope to get it on in the next few weeks. I'm waiting on my front shocks from Toytec, they ran out of trim packer spacers and can't assemble mine till they get some.

Were you notified at the time you placed the order that those were on back-order?

Yeah. He said they were hoping to get some in last friday. I would have thought I would have received a shipping confirmation by now if they did.

Interesting. I spoke over the phone with Dylan and Jeff (i think?) a few times, and they answered a lot of questions I had, so today I just ordered everything I needed thru the Toytec website. I'm hoping to get a shipping confirmation tomorrow if everything checks out.

I spoke with Ben. I'm also considering calling them back and getting the center spring extenders.

Just checked and it says when you order the 3 degree shims that it comes with new bolts. hmmm

Got a call from Jeff at Toytec last night. I didn't realize that the lift kit already comes with a trim packer used for the drivers side lean, so when I placed my order yesterday I ordered one. They called me after they had reviewed my order to let me know the kit already comes with one, and they took the extra item off my order and credited the money back to my bank account. +1 rep for Toytec.

I called them late afternoon and the trim packers were in. He also said my front shocks shipped. :woot: Lift install this Thursday or Friday.

edit: Make that next week not today. :D

Awesome set up and I think you will be really happy with it. I have a similar set up and very happy with mine.

As for the Pro Comp wheels I would double check. I wanted the exact wheel you are asking about and Pro Comp would not sell them to me. They said they do not do a 16 inch wheel for the Tacoma. Something to do with the brake calipers rubbing or seomthing along those lines. HOWEVER there are a few on here who have then with no problems. I think Pro Comp would not sell them to me for liablility reasons perhaps. Just double check. On another note their customer service was not exactly great but I could have been dealing with someone just having a bad day.

    Looking forward to the build.:)

Thanks for the heads up on the wheels. The lift kit will be delievered on Monday! For now, I'm gonna stick with my stock OR wheels and 265's for a bit, they still have a lot of tread life on them. I bought spidertrax for whenever I move up to 285s, and I may or may not just throw the wheel spacers on there with the 265's while i'm at it. It might look weird, but its going to with the smaller tires anyway, at least for the time being. Thoughts on the spacers with 265s?

As far as the thoughts on the spacers with 265's I am the wrong guy to ask. Hopefully someone with more experience can chime in on that issue. I went to the 285's when I installed my lift. Sorry.

Everything is being delivered to our warehouse at work. I'm guessing it'll be on one or two pallets? Will I be able to break it all down and fit everything into my short bed? Or should I bring a trailer to work?

Which Dakar springs did you go with for the rear? The regular ones or the HD ones with the extra leaf? I'm getting ready to order my lift and I can't decide on which one I should get

Do you carry a cap or other rear weight constantly ? If not , the regular pack is usually sufficient
