Bjmoose's thread is the only one I've really found. I've been searching high and low for one but haven't found anything yet. One of the guys I work with owns an off road shop but he hasn't ever installed or seen an OME kit before mine. He did tell me to wait and torque everything down with the weight of the truck on it and not with it in the air. I think it may be time for a really good write up for the OME kit with this install. :D

I feel like I've read something about this on here somewhere, but I just searched around for a bit and couldn't find much. I think the markings have something to do with how well the springs are within the factory specifications, noted with a " +, -, or a 0 ". I also just read during my quick search that some people have received springs with an A and B on respective leaves, and A is for the drivers side, B for the passenger (which are not noted on mine, or yours from what I can see). I aslo read that you can measure the arch on each spring, and whichever leaf has the larger amount of arch goes to the driver side, to accomodate for the extra weight of the driver, gas tank, etc. As you can see on my springs, I have a + and a 0. So I'm guessing the spring with the + will go on the drivers side?? I haven't measured anything yet, but I will tonight and get back to you. In the meantime, if anybody has any knowledge on the topic, feel free to chime in.

Found this thread on toyotanation.com http://www.toyotanation.com/forum/6...you-have-two-springs-do-you-have-one-one.html

This post explains it a little better than I did:

"OK, OK. Apparently the + and - do mean something. This is what the guy at ARB told me.

The + is for no more than 2 mm over spec and the – is for no more than 2mm under spec. so our springs have a 4mm tolerance range or about 3/16 of an inch overall I hope this all makes sense

ARB Sales manager eastern region and Canada 1 888 427 2872 Fax 425 264 1392 please send any orders to orders@arbusa.com email contact info buddyk@arbusa.com

The + set of leafs could be as much as 3/16" taller than the - set of leafs. That's really not very much of a difference, but I guess every little bit helps. Anyway, you want to put the + on the drivers side. If both of your springs have a + then that means they are both the same specs, and it doesn't matter which side you put them on."

I wonder why one has an arrow on it and the other doesn't? I mean I know which side goes to the front but it's just kinda odd it is marked like that. The arrow is under the sticker on the upper leaf in the pic.

Yeah that is odd. My springs have an arrow on both. That post I just put up has an email and a phone number for ARB. If I can find out anything else about that I'll post it here.

    I don't see the arrows

CS047R is the correct serial number for the 2005-2011 leafs

I didn't see it either but...

Any ideas that might explain the arrows (or lack thereof), +'s, -'s, and 0's?

The arrow is under the upper leaf under the dakar sticker. There isn't an arrow on the other spring.

The "+" and "-" were correctly described earlier as spring sets that are above and below the spring arch spec when built .

This is what explains the up to 1/2" difference in ride height of the Dakars on the same trucks

I just spoke with ARB. They said that the arrows are on the newer springs and I probably just got an older one from before they started marking them to show the front and one that was an older stock one. He also confirmed that the 0 and + were the specs on the spring from the manufacturer when they test them and it is only like a 1/2% difference in the ones that have the o and + and that you wouldn't notice it on the truck. I'm thinking along with OZ though with the difference in ride height on different trucks with the same springs. You may want to put the one with the plus on the drivers side to help with the taco lean.

    Yup! Same size as yours.
Called a place locally that I had called a few weeks ago. When I called then, he told me $1026 OTD. Today he said $740 OTD, I said order them! They will be in tomorrow and installed Saturday morning when I get off work.
